It’s been more than two years since Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson got engaged on The Bachelor Season 28, but they still don’t have a wedding date. Graziadei popped the question in fall 2023, but their engagement was kept secret until the Season 28 finale aired in March 2024.
Graziadei appeared on the Almost Famous podcast on Monday, November 10, to dish about his recent experience running the New York marathon, and also gave a quick update on wedding plans. He explained why he and his bride-to-be have yet to nail down a date for their big day.
“The setup of the show is you get engaged very quickly, you have to kind of still figure out a bunch of stuff in your life before you start taking this next step,” Graziadei shared. “It’s not that I don’t think we’re going to take this next step, we just both have talked it over, and we don’t want to rush it. We want to enjoy it. And we have a lot of other things going on right now that’s great, so it’s nice that we don’t have to rush into this.”
He added that he and Anderson are still aiming for a 2027 wedding and said they’re planning to lock in a location and date “by the beginning of next year.” The couple has been working with a wedding planner and are “leaning in a certain direction” after seeing one of the venues that they were shown. ”
“We’re going to go check that out, hopefully soon, and have some answers probably here in the future of when it’s going to be and where it’s going to be,” Graziadei added. “Honestly, it’s been fun to start thinking about and fun to start kind of figuring out what it’s going to look like. I’m just really focused on making sure it hits Kelsey’s vision and what she wants. [That] it’s practical and something that makes sense for all of us. I’m just really excited because as you take more steps, it’s becoming more and more real.”
