While none of them are part of the cast anymore, they will always be an important part of the DWTS legacy.

Why did Alec Mazo and Edyta Śliwińska leave Dancing With the Stars?
The couple left the show to pursue other endeavors. “We had 15 seasons between us, and it was a great experience, but it became very repetitive,” Mazo told Jake’s Take. “We had done four tours of Dancing with the Stars and developed a pretty decent network of connections, and we just figured out that by the end of the day, it did not matter if we did 15 or 20 seasons, we had to move on from Dancing one way or another. We had an opportunity to produce, and that’s when we decided when it was time to leave.”
His wife added, “By the time of the tenth season, it felt like Alec said, repetitive, and we thought that we were not developing. We were not interested in staying on the show just be remain popular and stay in the limelight, we really wanted to do something for our future that was inspiring.”
The couple went on to create Dancing Pros Inc., a company that “specializes in live stage productions for theaters, casinos, and corporate events utilizing familiar talent from television shows,” according to LinkedIn.
What are Alec Mazo and Edyta Śliwińska doing now?
Mazo has left the world of ballroom dance behind him for a career in business. He attended Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business from 2011 to 2012, where he received his Master of Science in Management. Mazo now works as a general partner for DGA Capital, according to LinkedIn.
Śliwińska still works as a choreographer and runs a dance program called Dance Sport & Dance Fusion for kids and adults, respectively. “Edyta applies her experience from Dancing With the Stars, where she trained multiple celebrities and elite athletes to perform dance routines live in front of 30 million viewers,” according to her website.
Śliwińska was diagnosed with cancer in August 2024 and shared the news with followers that November. After having a “major surgery,” she returned with an update on the one-year anniversary of her diagnosis to reveal that she feels “healthier than I have ever felt in my life,” adding, “I made changes to my lifestyle, diet, environment, and exercise routine. I will share what I’ve learned in the hope that each and every one of you can achieve a healthier self, so no one ever delivers the news to you that I received on that hospital bed.”
