Are Married at First Sight’s Patric Jameson and Rhonda Muenzler Wunderlin endgame material? When experts matched the Season 19 stars, they became the most mature couple in the history of the reality show. The former is a 59-year-old space operations consultant, and the latter is a 63-year-old marketing exec, and the Austin, Texas, residents had both been married before.
After deciding to take a chance on love again, Pat and Rhonda tied the knot at first sight, went on their honeymoons, exchanged “I love yous,” and moved in together during the eight-week experiment. Soon, viewers will find out whether or not the couple decided to stay together or break off their relationship. So, what has Rhonda and Pat’s journey been like so far? Are Married at First Sight’s Pat and Rhonda still together?
When we last caught up with them in Episode 10, Pat and Rhonda were still together, though there was some tension between them. In one of her video diaries, Rhonda recalled Pat walking away in the middle of a conversation at the grocery store. At the time, they were skipping out on the Married at First Sight couples retreat to attend Rhonda’s family reunion.
“I’m kind of shut down because I don’t want to talk about it because I’ll be accused of… I don’t know, lecturing him, criticizing him, so I don’t say anything, and he’s like, ‘Is everything OK?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah,'” she said. “He is pretty clueless. This communication s**t is hard.”
The hiccup came after a few others emerged in the previous episodes. Despite having fun together on their honeymoon, Rhonda began to notice that Pat was “really comfortable talking about himself” and rarely asked her “follow up questions,” and she brought her concern to his attention.
After moving in together in Episode 6, Pat and Rhonda worked out some of their relationship kinks during their visit with a MAFS expert. “Even though we still have a lot of work to do, I think that I’m learning [and] we’re both fighting for our future together,” Rhonda said in Episode 7.
Their one-month anniversary found the couple sharing their interests with each other and bonding, though when Rhonda brought Pat to a concert, she once again expressed her fear about him not being interested in her. Later, when they visited the grave of Rhonda’s father, she felt like Pat wasn’t listening to her, but they talked it out.
Now that we’ve refreshed ourselves on their history, where do they stand now? That information will be kept under wraps until Episode 12, which airs on November 13, but we did take a look at Pat and Rhonda’s Instagram profiles for clues.
We won’t hold you in suspense: Pat and Rhonda do still follow each other, unlike the other Season 19 couples. They’ve also had some friendly exchanges on Instagram since the season began. On November 11, Pat shared one of their dates that didn’t make it into the show. The couple took a private two-step lesson.
“For never two stepping, you @patricj_tx picked it up soooo quick!” Rhonda commented. “You were amazing and it was a blast! This def should have been shown!! Esp because it shows just how hard it was for me to let go. 😂”
