Layla started teasing her relationship with Mason back in July 2025. In a carousel of Instagram photos, Layla shared a photo with Mason for the first time. On November 1, Mason shared a series of photos with Layla that chronicled their romance so far. “Lots to smile about,” Mason captioned the post. Layla commented, “Life is so fun with you.”

“Things are going really good between us,” Layla told Swooon ahead of the Season 3 drop. “I feel like he’s just my best friend. We have a lot in common, and our relationship has just always come very naturally, which is out of the ordinary for me.” After her brief dalliance with Mason’s brother — more on that below — she “bumped into Mason again,” which sparked their relationship.
Since July, Layla and Mason have been public about their relationship. Mason joined Layla in New York City for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 3 press. They attended the premiere party together.

Mason is the brother of Chase McWhorter, Miranda’s ex-husband. Miranda and Chase married in 2017 and have two kids together.
