‘Golden Bachelor’s Mel Owens & Peg Munson Reveal Holiday Plans After Going Public

Mel Owens and Peg Munson were able to step into the spotlight with their relationship just in time for the 2025 holiday season. The couple confirmed that they’re an item following The Golden Bachelor finale on November 12.
Now, they have a very busy few weeks coming up, and they dished to Swooon all about their plans. From Thanksgiving to Christmas, and lots of fun weekends in between, Owens and Munson have a lot to look forward to.
“Detroit for Thanksgiving, Montreal, University of Michigan vs. Ohio State [football game],” Munson shared, rattling off the list of upcoming plans. “Then we’re in Rio for Christmas. His birthday’s [December 7] in Vegas. We’re going to take him to The Sphere to see The Wizard of Oz. We’re going to go to San Francisco. Raiders game. We’re living life!”
Munson noted that they’re going to be “in and out” of spending time with their families amid the hectic schedule. “[The kids] are always invited, but they got their own stuff going on, too,” Owens explained, referring to his two sons and Munson’s daughter, whom they share with their former spouses. Munson added, “They’re young adults. They’ve got their own agendas now.”
Owens and Munson found love on Season 2 of The Golden Bachelor. At the final rose ceremony, they agreed to commit to one another, with Owens even giving Munson a ring as a symbol of his dedication to her. For now, there are no wedding or proposal plans on the table, which the two said they’re on the same page about.
“[In the fantasy suite] we talked about marriage, proposals, kids,” Munson revealed. “How are we going to blend our family together? What is this going to look like for him, what is it going to look like for me? And a lot of those questions were answered, so we kind of hashed it all out.”
They also agreed that they’re open to marriage again in the future, but for now, they’re just letting their love grow. “I’m looking for that sustainable love, that long-term love,” Munson explained. “I’m not looking for the flash-bang. I’ve had that and it doesn’t last. I don’t want to spend the last couple years of my life, at this point, flash-bang, flash-bang. That’s not what I’m looking for. I’m looking for something sustainable and long-term.”
