What about the people behind the camera? Remember Marry Me, that 2022 rom-com with Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson? Its director, Kat Coiro, is also at the helm of You, Me & Tuscany. Married duo Ryan Engle and Kristin Engle came up with the idea and executive produced, and the former — who also wrote the movies Rampage and Beast— also penned the screenplay. The producing team includes Will Packer (Girls Trip) and Johanna Byer.

What is You, Me & Tuscany about?

Anna (Bailey) once dreamed of becoming a chef, but a series of bad choices has her drifting through her twenties as a house sitter. When she loses her job (and her housing by default), she meets Matteo. He tells Anna that he has an empty villa sitting in Tuscany, and against the advice of her best friend, Anna heads there without his permission, intending to stay for one night.

However, that one night happens to be when Matteo’s mom shows up. To save herself, Anna leads the woman to believe that she’s Matteo’s fiancée. Things get even more complicated when Anna finds a spark with Matteo’s cousin, Michael.
