When Jasmine Roth began filming her current HGTV show, Help! I Wrecked My House, in 2020, she was several months pregnant. By the time the show premiered in September 2020, she was a new mom. She has been documenting that journey on the renovation series ever since.
While the focus of Jasmine’s program is helping homeowners, she also gives viewers a look inside her personal life, which includes the family she’s built with husband Brett Roth, whom she married in 2013. Scroll down for everything we know about their kids.
How many kids does Jasmine Roth have?
Jasmine and Brett are parents to two children. Their eldest daughter, Hazel, was born in April 2020, followed by her baby sister, Darla, in September 2024.
The couple purposely waited seven years to start a family together, with Jasmine telling HGTV, “Parenting is hard no matter when you do it. I feel confident and happy with our decision to wait.”
When it came time to conceive baby No. 2, Jasmine dealt with secondary infertility. She tried to get pregnant for seven months to no avail, and eventually started seeing doctors and exploring functional medicine. Jasmine learned she had high genetic cholesterol and that her heart was struggling to pump blood, she told Motherly.

In addition to discovering high levels of mold in Jasmine’s body and “significant vitamin deficiencies,” the doctor also confirmed a hormone imbalance and “shockingly high cortisol levels,” which the designer was told she had to handle before seeing a fertility specialist. She began working with her doctor on correcting these issues from both a physical and mental standpoint.
Jasmine and Brett eventually conceived Darla through intrauterine insemination (IUI). Darla was born one month early and was “almost birthed on the side of the highway as we tried to make our way to the hospital,” Jasmine shared on Instagram in October 2024. The newborn spent 15 days in the NICU before her parents brought her home.
What happened to Jasmine Roth’s daughter, Hazel?
In November 2023, Hazel was hospitalized and had tonsil and adenoid reduction surgery. “A few months ago, we noticed a weird breathing/snorting thing happening,” Jasmine explained. “We took her to the pediatrician and they referred us to a pediatric ENT specialist. Her tonsils were touching and they ordered an x-ray which showed her adenoids were also enlarged.”
Jasmine and Brett chose to have their daughter undergo a sleep study, which uncovered “severe sleep apnea, being disturbed 7+ times per hour, [and] oxygen dropping.” Since “deep sleep is when kids develop,” the couple knew they had to take the next step, which is when they booked Hazel’s procedure.
“She came home tired from the anesthesia, but was in good spirits eating popsicles and oatmeal today,” Jasmine added. “Such a trooper and made her nervous parents feel like everything was ok.”
Jasmine gave an update in an interview with Future of Personal Health in 2025, noting that her eldest daughter is now “sleeping like a champ.” She said Hazel slept through the night for the first time just five or six weeks after surgery.
“She has no issues, just goes to sleep, sleeps through the night, and wakes up in the morning, which anybody with a child knows is a big deal,” the proud mom added.
Where does Jasmine Roth’s family live?
The Roths currently live in Utah. They moved there from California in 2024, just months before Darla was born.
The decision to move came after Jasmine and Brett noticed they were spending more and more time in Park City, where they had a vacation home.
