What To Know
- Married at First Sight will return for Season 20.
- A teaser shown during the Season 19 reunion hints at new twists.
- Ahead of the premiere, it was announced that new experts would join the show.
After the emotional roller coaster that was Married at First Sight Season 19, we’re strapped in for Season 20. Especially after the Season 19 reunion featured a first look at the upcoming season’s drama, teasing that two cast members aren’t exactly strangers and another might not be a newbie to reality TV. And that’s only a hint of the twists to come!
Ahead of the new season’s premiere, fans have already been offered another surprise. Since the show’s 2014 debut, we’ve watched dozens of couples meet at the altar for the first time, matched by the experts. From there, we’ve gone on a weeks-long journey with them as they live together as a married couple, deciding whether or not to stay together at the end of the process.
All the while, they’re guided by those aforementioned experts, who offer relationship advice. For the past several years, that’s been Dr. Pepper Schwartz — who has been there since the show’s beginning — along with Pastor Cal Roberson and Dr. Pia Holec. In January 2026, the trio announced that they’d no longer be part of the show. What does that mean for Season 20? Keep reading for everything we know, including where it’ll take place, who the new experts are, and more.
Which city will Married at First Sight Season 20 take place in?
Season 20’s location has yet to be officially confirmed, but @mafsfan, a fan account for the show, reported that the couples will hail from Seattle. Back in August 2025, they wrote, “I’m hearing from my sources that casting is wrapping up and filming will be starting soon!”
When will Married at First Sight Season 20 premiere?
There’s no confirmed release date yet. Still, we can look at Season 19 to get a ballpark estimate. It was filmed in spring 2024 and premiered in October 2025, giving it about a year-and-a-half turnaround. If @mafsfan is indeed correct about timing, we could be looking at a late 2026 or early 2027 release date for Season 20. If it follows the same schedule, that is.
When the show moved from Lifetime to Peacock, it received a three-season order. After Season 20, you can look forward to Season 21!
Who are the Married at First Sight Season 20 experts?
Schwartz, Roberson, and Holec released statements about their departure, but the new experts haven’t been revealed yet.
“We’re thrilled to be embarking on a brand new chapter of the MAFS journey with our partners at Peacock. We’re excited for the future and honored to have worked alongside Dr. Pepper, Pastor Cal, and Dr. Pia,” says Chris Coelen, founder and CEO of MAFS‘ production company, Kinetic. “Dr. Pepper has been with us from the beginning and Pastor Cal joined us shortly thereafter; their unwavering wisdom, insight, and passion has been a guiding light for us throughout the seasons.”
Is there a trailer for Married at First Sight Season 20?
There isn’t an official trailer yet, but the Season 19 reunion did offer a sneak peek at what’s to come. In the footage (which did not show anyone’s face), one bride says that she recognizes the person standing at the end of the aisle. “I haven’t really had like a serious, long-term relationship,” a groom tells his bride, much to her surprise.
