Are Phil Rosenthal & Monica Horan Still Together? All About the ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ Couple

The show, created by Phil Rosenthal, was inspired by his and star/executive producer Ray Romano‘s families. Rosenthal had married Monica Horan, who played Amy MacDougall-Barone, Robert Barone’s (Brad Garrett) on-again, off-again love interest, years before the show debuted. After 30 years, are Phil Rosenthal and Monica Horan still married? It’s time for a deep dive into their relationship.

Yes, Rosenthal, 65, and Horan, 62, are still together after nearly 40 years together. Since the end of Everybody Loves Raymond in 2005, Rosenthal and Horan have continued to work together onscreen. She frequently appears on Rosenthal’s travel food series, Somebody Feed Phil, on Netflix. Season 8 premiered back in June 2025.

In a 2005 interview, Horan revealed how the show impacted her marriage to the show’s creator. “It had the effect of marriage counseling,” Horan told the Sioux City Journal. “I saw myself, but I also saw his piece in it, too. I was a little embarrassed because I told people to watch it. When I actually saw it, I thought they must think I’m insane.”
Because they were so busy with their family life at home, Horan said it was “easy to leave work at the studio.” She added, “It’s like two different lives. We’ve learned to work together.”
Rosenthal praised his wife in a sweet tribute for her birthday in January 2025. “I’m the luckiest fellah to have met this girl, for her to like me at all, to have dinner with me, to move in with me, to marry me, have two kids with me, travel with me, put up with me, stay with me, make everything better for me. That’s a good life. I recommend it,” he wrote.
