On December 3, one of Love Is Blind‘s longest-running couples — and one of only four in the franchise to have a kid — announced that they had “made the difficult decision to end [their] marriage.” In the complete statement, Brennon and Alexa, who welcomed their daughter, Vienna Ziva Lemieux, in July 2024, asked for privacy, noting that their “precious daughter” is their “top priority.” Now, sources have confirmed the official reason Brennon filed for divorce, and Alexa has fired back at her ex-husband’s divorce filing, requesting the larger sum of their estate.

Why did Brennon and Alexa Lemieux split?
Brennon Lemieux petitioned for a divorce from his wife, Alexa, in November, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly. In the petition, he claimed that their marriage had “become insupportable” due to “conflict of personalities” that prevent any “reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”
In their joint official statement, Brennon and Alexa wrote, “After much reflection and many heartfelt conversations, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. This choice was not made lightly, and it comes with a great deal of care, respect, and appreciation for the time we’ve shared. ”
They continued, “We entered this relationship with love and optimism, and we leave it with gratitude for the experiences that shaped us and the growth we each gained along the way. While our journey as a married couple is coming to an end, we remain supportive of one another, devoted to our daughter, and committed to navigating this transition with compassion. We kindly ask for privacy as we move forward and focus on our individual paths while keeping our precious daughter as our top priority.”

What has the couple said about their split?
On December 4, Alexa filed her own court documents, denying the allegations in Brennon’s divorce petition, including the fact that their marriage has “become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities.” Alexa also requested that the court split their estate, with her retaining the larger portion.
“Alexa makes more money than Brennon and wants to retain her earnings,” a source told Us Weekly. The court documents implied that Alexa was owed the larger sum due to “[Brennon’s] fault in the breakup of the marriage,” need for future support, wasting of community assets by the spouse, and the need for attorney fees.
How old is Brennon and Alexa Lemieux’s daughter?
Brennon and Alexa will continue to coparent their daughter, Vienna Ziva Lemieux, who turned one on July 31. On Vienna’s first birthday, Alexa posted, “Happy birthday to my littlest but greatest love. I loved you before I even met you. I used to dream about who you would be and nothing came close to how magical you are. The journey to having you may have been long and difficult, but I would go through it a million times over. You radiate so much sunshine and bring so much joy to anyone you meet. Although it’s only been a year, I truly can’t remember life before you. You have healed me in ways I’ll never be able to explain.”
During an interview with Swooon in February, Alexa revealed that she was focusing on staying home with their daughter while Brennon was working at his own insurance company. She told Swooon, “He has something of his own, and he’s been really passionate about it and wants to figure out a way to help people. He started that this month [January]. He’s been focused on that, and then I’m just focused on raising baby girl and trying to convince him to have another one with me.” While more kids were in the cards at the time, it’s clear that the couple has gone a different direction.
