Sabrina Soto is a married woman! The 48-year-old tied the knot with 43-year-old Nathan “Nate” Whitney on Monday, December 1. They wed at an avocado farm and vineyard in California with just 32 people in attendance.
Soto, who was the host of HGTV’s The High/Low Project, and Whitney announced their engagement in January, although she did not reveal her now-husband’s identity at the time. It wasn’t until two months later that she named Whitney as the man whom she’d be spending the rest of her life with.

Who is Nathan Whitney?
Whitney is a physical therapist for the Chicago Cubs. He has been with the team since February 2018, according to his LinkedIn. Before that, he worked as a physical therapist at ATI Physical Therapy in Chicago from 2011 to 2018.
He began his career after studying PT at University of Illinois Chicago, graduating in 2010. Soto has said that Whitney is very private and “not a social media person.”
How did Sabrina Soto meet her husband?
Soto and Whitney met online. They first connected “many years ago,” she told People. However, at the time, the “timing” wasn’t right for them. Once their lives “slowed down,” they were able to reconnect. In March 2025, Soto revealed to People that this was about “a year and a half” earlier.
At that time, Soto was living in California and Whitney was in Chicago. Serendipitously, Whitney had plans to travel to California just days after Soto reached out, and the hotel he stayed at was right near where she was. They met up for their first date during his trip.

After they hit it off, Soto said she didn’t want to waste any time, which is why she brought up the long-distance situation on their third date, and they were able to navigate that together.
“I met Nate when I stopped looking for what I thought love should be and started recognizing what real love actually feels like,” Soto shared in an Instagram post before her wedding. “The kind that shows up. The kind that feels like home. The kind where you genuinely married your best friend.”
Does Sabrina Soto have kids?
Yes, Soto has a daughter named Olivia, born in November 2015. She shares Olivia with ex Steve Grevemberg. The two never got married but were in a long-term relationship when they welcomed their daughter.

Who else has Sabrina Soto dated?
Soto was previously engaged to Leann Rimes‘ ex-husband Dean Sheremet. He popped the question in December 2021, but she announced their split just seven months later.
“Some of you have noticed that I haven’t been wearing my ring,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “I decided to end the engagement and I’ve never been more proud of myself. Sending love to anyone navigating through a life transition. You got this.”
It’s unclear exactly how long Soto and Grevemberg’s relationship was. They were still together in 2017, as she posted a Father’s Day tribute to him on Facebook that year. However, by 2020, she revealed that they had split some time ago, although she noted that they developed a good coparenting relationship.
“If you listen to my podcast, you know about the break up!” Soto wrote on Facebook. “If you would’ve told me when we split that we would be such close friends now, I wouldn’t have believed you. Not always, but for the most part, time heals. It’s also important to do inner work (obvi). Now, I’m so happy to be coparenting together. I’m also thrilled that Olivia gets to be with two parents who get along and laugh a lot.”
