Something big is happening in When Calls the Heart Season 13, and we have a feeling it might involve someone getting down on one knee. A new promo for the upcoming season teased a “moment we’ve all been waiting for,” and all eyes are on Nathan (Kevin McGarry) and Elizabeth (Erin Krakow).
Season 13 is going to celebrate everything we love about Hope Valley, and there will be plenty of romance in store. But is Nathan gearing up to propose to Elizabeth? Could the already-confirmed Season 14 give us another Hope Valley wedding? Let’s break down what’s in the Season 13 promo.
The voiceover drops a heart-sized hint that Nathan and Elizabeth will probably be engaged by season’s end. The couple can be seen walking together as the voiceover says, “And the moment you’ve been waiting for.”
But that’s not all! Nathan shares a touching moment with Charlotte Thornton (Brooke Shields), the mother of Elizabeth’s late husband (Daniel Lissing) and Little Jack’s dad. “Don’t mess this up,” she tells Nathan. Maybe Nathan confides in Charlotte that he’s planning to propose?

Krakow recently spoke with Swooon about Elizabeth and Nathan’s relationship in Season 13. “And we hear our audience that there is a desire for them to take steps forward in their relationship, so know that we are listening, and I hope that we deliver,” she said.
If Nathan proposes in Season 13, then Season 14 could build up to Elizabeth and Nathan’s big Hope Valley wedding. Lori Loughlin‘s Abigail Stanton is returning in Season 14, and we’d love to see Abigail by Elizabeth’s side on her big day (if that’s what happens).
Love is clearly in the air on When Calls the Heart. Lucas (Chris McNally) and Edie (Miranda Macdougall) have the town buzzing about what’s going on with them. “Do you think they’re official?” Florence (Loretta Walsh) wonders.
Georgie (Melissa Gilbert) also makes a return to Hope Valley, and Bill (Jack Wagner) is delighted to see her. Allie (Jaeda Lily Miller) and Oliver (Jacob Shoemay) share a sweet moment after spending time at Goldie National Park.
