  • The couple has started discussing their wedding, sparking a debate between them.
  • In a new video, Robach and Holmes disagree over a key aspect of their nuptials.

Now that Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are engaged, it’s time for them to start thinking about the details of their special day. Planning a wedding can be stressful, especially if you and your significant other aren’t on the same page about certain things.

Robach and Holmes have started planning their wedding and are discussing their guest list. But they’ve realized that they don’t see eye to eye.

“Don’t have anybody at your wedding that you need to be introduced to,” Holmes said in a new video. Robach fired back, “So you’re going to tell people they can’t bring a plus-one?” Holmes responded that he was “150%” sure about that.

He explained that he didn’t want to invite “anybody for the sake of their feelings” to his wedding. “Because you have a relationship with them, and you want them to have a good time, too,” Robach told her fiancé.

Holmes replied, “You want to fight with me now.” His soon-to-be wife chided him over his take. “I think it’s insanity to tell people who you love and know that they can’t bring a date,” Robach said.

The former CNN correspondent noted, “I have done that… Don’t have somebody with their random plus-one, that in five years you’re going to say, ‘Who’s that? Who’d you bring to the wedding?'” For Holmes, it’s a slippery slope that could lead to 200 or more guests at their wedding.

Their argument was highly debated in the comments section. “Amy is right in this one,” one fan wrote. However, another fan was on Holmes’ side. “Sorry I agree with TJ on this one — if everyone gets a plus one, the guest list starts looking like a block party. I’m sticking to people I actually know… and their other half if I know them too,” the fan wrote.

In October, Robach and Holmes announced their engagement on their podcast, Amy & T.J. At the time, the couple had been engaged for “just about a month.” Holmes noted, “We wanted to let you all know before anybody else was able to. We’ve learned that lesson, I guess, in the past about our relationship.” Their engagement comes three years after their relationship (and subsequent scandal) went public.

When their romance was confirmed in paparazzi photos in 2022, Holmes and Robach were accused of having an affair since they were both still married at the time (but they were already separated from their spouses). They were later fired as the cohosts of GMA3. Holmes and Robach have always been adamant that their relationship started after their breakups with their spouses.
