If you’re looking for a new YA romance to fill The Summer I Turned Pretty–shaped hole in your heart, look no further than Netflix’s new series Finding Her Edge.
Netflix will be skating its way into the new year, dropping the full first season of Finding Her Edge on January 22, 2026. The series is based on Jennifer Iacopelli’s 2022 novel by the same name. Featuring a figure-skating family with struggling finances, the novel follows elite ice dancer Adriana Russo, who finds herself drawn to both her old partner, Freddie, and her new one, Brayden.

Per Netflix, “The series follows the three Russo sisters, heirs to a struggling figure skating dynasty. As middle sister, seventeen-year-old Adriana trains for the World Championships with new partner Brayden, while still harbouring feelings for her first love and former partner, Freddie.” If you love a good love triangle — and seriously, who doesn’t? — this is one romance you don’t want to miss.
But this isn’t just any love triangle. Instead, Adriana’s “life becomes complicated when she and Brayden pretend to be a couple off the ice so they can land a sponsorship to keep the financially struggling Russo rink afloat.” Oh, fake dating trope, we love you so.

Who has been cast in Finding Her Edge?
The Finding Her Edge cast features a group of recent breakouts and newcomers skating their way to Netflix stardom. Canadian actress Madelyn Keys is set to star as Adriana Russo, with Alexandra Beaton (Overcompensating) and Alice Malakhov (Anne With an E) as her sisters, Elise and Maria Russo.
