After Kyle Richards separated from Mauricio Umansky in 2023, fans began speculating that she was in a romantic relationship with country singer Morgan Wade. The ladies had become friends several months earlier and had been spending considerable time together that year.
Wade made her debut on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills at the end of Season 13 in 2023. However, she opted not to appear on the show in Season 14, even though her relationship with Richards was often a topic of discussion. Despite intense scrutiny surrounding the friendship, Richards has never outwardly said whether she and Wade were in a romantic relationship.
To respect her friend’s privacy, Richards chose not to discuss the rumored romance on her reality show, which bothered many of her castmates. “Morgan did not sign up for this show,” Richards insisted during the Season 14 reunion. “She does not want to be part of it. She’s not a part of the cast.”
She added that Wade experienced “a lot of anxiety” after her Season 13 cameo. “She didn’t ask for this life,” the actress explained. “So I’m trying to be respectful of somebody who didn’t sign up for it.”
During Episode 2 of Season 15, though, Richards finally came clean about her former status with Wade. Although she didn’t mention her by name, she spoke about her post-separation relationship that made headlines and was intensely scrutinized.
“If you were seeing someone that you cared about very much that specifically says, ‘Please, I’m not part of this group, be respectful,’ would you betray that person just because people are curious?” Richards asked Erika Jayne, who told her, “I would protect that person.”

What happened between Kyle Richards and Morgan Wade?
Richards and Wade split because the singer could not handle the publicity around their relationship. “If I’m in love with somebody, I want to share that,” Richards said on the RHOBH episode. “I don’t care. I’m an open person like that. But that doesn’t mean that the person I’m with feels the same way. All the speculation and the gossip and the talking is what ultimately ended it.”
The Bravo star said she would’ve been willing to “weather the storm” with Wade, but noted, “This is not for everyone. I think if this person weren’t so afraid of public scrutiny and life under a microscope…”
Despite the breakup, Richards and Wade seemingly still remain on friendly terms. This episode was filmed at the beginning of summer 2025, and in August, Richards had nothing but praise for her ex. During an Amazon live stream, she revealed she had seen Wade’s new music video for the song “Hardwood Floor” before its release and gushed over how much she loved it.
The two also bantered on Instagram earlier that month, according to Bravo.com.

Richards and Wade met in 2022 after the former heard “Wilder Days” by the latter the previous year. Richards even DMed the musician on Instagram to gush over her music.
“I stalked @morganwademusic on IG after listening to her music while driving solo from Utah to Colorado while making #housewivesofthenorthpole & today we met up in person for the 1st time,” Richards revealed in an Instagram post. “The most unlikely of friendships some may think but kinship knows no boundaries.”
She later revealed on an episode of RHOBH that she was drawn to Wade because of her song lyrics.
The speculation about a romance between the women was amped up after Richards starred in Wade’s music video for “Fall in Love With Me,” which was released just a month after Richards and Umansky announced their separation. In the video, Richards played a woman fantasizing about striking up a romance with her neighbor (Wade).
When Richards finally spoke about her romance with Wade during the December 2025 RHOBH episode, she said she “fell hard” for the country star. “I was at a very vulnerable place in my life,” she admitted.
Is Kyle Richards dating?
In November, Richards told People she was still single and enjoying this time by herself.
However, she also confirmed that she wants to meet someone to settle down with in the future. “I hope to get married again one day,” she shared. “I mean, listen, I’m someone who really enjoys being married. So I won’t be single my whole life.”
Richards and Umansky are still legally married and have not filed for divorce yet, although he has moved out of the home they shared. The estranged couple has three daughters, while Richards also has one daughter with her first husband, Guraish Aldjufrie, whom she wed when she was just 19.
