What To Know

  • Bachelor Happy Hour podcast hosts Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt are convinced Blake Moynes will surprise viewers by showing up on The Bachelorette Season 22.
  • Moynes addressed the speculation and revealed whether he’s returning to the franchise for a fourth time.
  • He previously appeared on Seasons 16 and 17 of The Bachelorette, as well as Season 9 of Bachelor in Paradise.

Blake Moynes has already appeared on two seasons of The Bachelorette and one season of Bachelor in Paradise, but is a return to the franchise in his future? The reality star appeared on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast to address a rumor that he’ll be showing up on the show’s upcoming 22nd season with Taylor Frankie Paul.

Podcast cohosts Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt revealed that they were recently at the airport in Los Angeles when they heard a Bachelor producer’s name and Moynes’ name announced over a loudspeaker, sparking speculation that Moynes was traveling to a new location for The Bachelorette.

At first, Moynes played coy about whether he was giving the dating show another go. “We like the speculation,” he teased. “I snuck onto Katie [Thurston’s] season, so I’ll leave it up to the imagination. You’ll just have to tune in and see. I’m all over the world, so it’s easy for me to jump in there quick, try to make a mark, and then dip. It’s not that crazy. You’ll just have to watch.”

However, he eventually confirmed that he will not be showing up on Paul’s season. “As much as it would be a really interesting throw into that season, I am not,” he said. “I’m here in Costa Rica.” (Moynes works with a wildlife conservation organization that takes him around the world).

Moynes was initially a contestant on Season 16 of The Bachelorette with Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams in 2020. He then returned in the middle of filming for Season 17 with Thurston. He and Thurston got engaged on the show, but split in October 2021.

In 2023, Moynes dated Jess Girod on Season 9 of Bachelor in Paradise, but quit the show during Week 4.

Now, he’s focused on his career and conservation organization, which doesn’t leave much time for dating. He’s not ruling out a return to dating on television in the future, though.

Bachelorette is a stretch because it’s not as fun. Paradise is fun,” he explained. “I think maybe if it was a different concept in the sense of … it would be great to not go on something that is like, ‘Find your person, find your person, find love, romance,’ like, heavy in that sense. Maybe a different concept or a blend of something that’s not as serious in this exact moment, where it’s more playful, more easy-going, where I don’t feel like that is the full premise of ‘you’re here to find love.’ I know I won’t be able to deliver in that sense.”
