Heather Dubrow and Dr. Terry Dubrow leave no stone unturned when it comes to their relationship. The Real Housewives of Orange County couple, who’ve been married for 26 years, addressed the newest rumors about their relationship in the December 17 episode of their Between Us podcast.
As they discussed rumors in reality TV, Terry pointed out that the “latest rumor” is that he’s gay. Heather noted that the gay rumors have been going around “for a while.” She admitted that she had been bothered by past rumors and asked her husband how he felt about the speculation regarding his sexuality.
The Botched star quickly said that the rumors have “never” bothered him. “But what I don’t like is when there’s a rumor that becomes a storyline that is so absurdly false, and everyone knows it’s false. But the fact that there’s a rumor becomes a story, and once you talk about it enough, there’s slope,” he said.
The couple went on to address the rumor that Terry is gay, which Heather called “so stupid.” She added, “Why would we lie like that? Why would we hide that?”
Terry chimed in, “Well, first of all, if I’m gay in this long-term relationship, please feel bad for me because I’m not living my true life. I’m having a life of dissatisfaction.” The plastic surgeon told his wife that he’d “be a lot wealthier” if he were gay because he would “have married a guy who was very, very successful right away, and we don’t spend money the way women spend money.”
Heather and Terry are vocal allies for the LGBTQ+ community. Their eldest daughter, Max, is bisexual. Their second daughter, Kat, is gay, and their youngest child, Ace, is transgender.
“Why would we live a life like that?” Heather asked her husband. “It would be the most hypocritical, and what would we be showing our kids?”
