How did Roselyn Sánchez meet her husband?
Sánchez and Winter first met at a party in Los Angeles in 2005. However, it took him three months to ask her out. They went for sushi on their first date, then went away for the weekend on their second.
In 2007, Winter proposed while they went kayaking in Sánchez’s native Puerto Rico. The couple returned to Puerto Rico to tie the knot on November 29, 2008.
Who is Eric Winter?
Winter is an actor who’s best known for his role as Tim Bradford on ABC’s The Rookie. He also starred as Rex Brady on Days of Our Lives from 2002 to 2005 and appeared in eight episodes of The Mentalist between 2008 and 2012.
Some of Winter’s other acting credits include Witches of East End, Rosewood, and television films including Finding Santa and Sunday at Tiffany’s. From 2019 to November 2025, Winter and Sánchez cohosted the He Said, Ella Dijo podcast.
Winter was previously married to Allison Ford, an actress, from 2001 to 2005.
Do Roselyn Sánchez and Eric Winter have kids?
Yes, the couple has two children. Their daughter, Sebella “Sebi” Rose Winter, was born on January 4, 2012, followed by son Dylan Gabriel Winter on November 3, 2017. Both children were conceived via in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Sánchez has been open about her IVF journey. She has endometriosis and spent three years trying to conceive before Sebi was born. Sánchez called the IVF process “pretty intense and brutal,” telling People, “[Sometimes], even though I did my whole cycle of shots and I got my eggs, my body would just go haywire. And we didn’t time it properly and I would ovulate, so the whole cycle was lost.”
Sebella was initially a twin, but Sánchez revealed that she “lost” the other baby early on in the pregnancy. It then took another two years to conceive Dylan. Doctors implanted “multiple” embryos, but still told Sánchez and Winter that there was only a 15% chance she’d get pregnant. She was 44 at the time of the pregnancy.
Who was Roselyn Sánchez’s first husband?
Before her relationship with Winter, Sánchez was married to Gary Stretch, a British boxer, actor, and model. They wed in 1998 and divorced in 2001.
She subsequently dated singer Víctor Manuelle, but they split in 2005, shortly before her relationship with Winter began.
