‘Can This Love Be Translated?’: All the Latest Updates on Netflix’s Korean Rom-Com
Can This Love Be Translated? hasn’t even come out yet, but the Korean romantic comedy has already gone viral. As soon as the first look was released by Netflix, an X user commented, “To those not familiar with kdramas, this is the Hollywood equivalent of Ryan Gosling coming back to romcoms,” referring to star Kim Seon-ho, known for 2021’s Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha. (They likely mean Ryan Reynolds, but we get the idea.)
Based on how many likes the post got, over 100,000 fans appear to be in agreement. In Can This Love Be Translated?, Kim stars as a multilingual translator who’s the complete opposite of the global celebrity he’s working with, played by Resident Playbook actress Go Youn-jung. Who is in the Can This Love Be Translated? cast?
Kim’s character is Ju Ho-jin, a translator fluent in English, Japanese, Italian, and more, while Go’s Cha Mu-hee is an actress known for her zombie movies. Sota Fukushi is also confirmed to appear alongside them as a Japanese actor who joins Mu-hee on a dating show and makes the romance between the two leads complicated. Lee E-Dam and Choi Woo-sung round out the rest of the cast list.
