Erin Krakow Gushes Over ‘When Calls the Heart’ Baby Boom: ‘Most Delightful Surprise’

Get ready to meet the next generation of Hope Valley! Five When Calls the Heart cast members are expecting babies in 2026, including leading lady Erin Krakow.
For Krakow, she couldn’t be happier about the expanding When Calls the Heart family. Ahead of the Season 13 premiere on January 4, the actress opened up about experiencing such a wonderful new chapter alongside her costars.
“We are so excited,” Krakow said. “We’re very close friends, and so the fact that we’re all going to have babies around the same age, I mean, within six weeks, I think, of each other, it’s just the most delightful surprise.”
Krakow and her husband/costar Ben Rosenbaum weren’t the first When Calls the Heart couple to announce their pregnancy. Just weeks before Krakow and Rosenbaum’s reveal, Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace dropped their exciting baby news. And then, Chris McNally announced at the Hallmark Christmas Experience that he and his wife, Julie Gonzalo, have another little one on the way!
“It’s been really nice to be able to lean on one another as well. We’ve got little text chains where we can send questions and comments about our experience,” Krakow noted.
When McNally broke the news during the When Calls the Heart panel at the Hallmark Christmas Experience, Krakow quipped that “something’s in the water.” Rosenbaum took the mic and quipped, “Season 14, we’ll be opening up the Hope Valley nursery.”
The year 2025 has been a joyous one for Krakow and Rosenbaum. The Hallmark stars married in June 2025 just before they went into production on When Calls the Heart Season 13. On December 1, Rosenbaum posted a sweet tribute to Krakow. “6 months of wedded bliss. 5 months of growing our baby. 1 lifetime of love in front of us @erinkrakow,” he wrote on Instagram.
The upcoming new year will be an exciting chapter for the expecting stars of the show. In addition to welcoming their babies, they’ll filming When Calls the Heart Season 14! Hallmark renewed the long-running series ahead of the Season 13 premiere.
