Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story stars Holland Roden and Matthew Daddario have aced the art of the Hallmark holiday movie, but how well do they know famous romantic quotes from TV and movies? When the costars stopped by Swooon’s studio, we had to check for ourselves in the latest edition of Source the Swooon.
Our assortment of quotes was completely random, and Daddario’s first pick was a romantic classic: Mr. Darcy’s iconic “You have bewitched me, body and soul” line from 2005’s Pride and Prejudice. His initial guess? Bewitched. (A little on the nose.) With a little hint, Roden guessed correctly.
Roden’s first quote was from 10 Things I Hate About You, and she got it right on her first try. Daddario, now with his glasses on, began reading Harry’s monologue from When Harry Met Sally, which stumped him and Roden. The costars stayed in British rom-com territory with their guesses, but once we dropped a Big Apple hint, Roden came up with the correct answer.
Once they were warmed up, Roden and Daddario began to get a number of quotes right from Notting Hill, Brokeback Mountain, and Friends. Of course, we had to add in some quotes from Roden and Daddario’s own resumes. As forever Teen Wolf stans, we had to include Stydia’s “Just remember. Remember, I love you.”
The Hallmark stars ran through all the quotes, but one very important one was missing from the batch. In the final seconds of gameplay, we were able to add it in. We just had to include a Shadowhunters quote in there for all the Malec fans out there.
Daddario’s participation in Source the Swooon made him realize something very crucial about his costar: “You were a ringer.
