Anne Armstrong-Coben is a pediatrician in New York City (she and Harlan live in Ridgewood, New Jersey). Anne also works as an associate professor of pediatrics a Columbia University Medical School and serves as the college’s senior associate Dean of Admissions. She has been on the Columbia staff since 1992.
She finished medical school at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and did her residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center.
How did Harlan Coben meet his wife?
The Cobens met when they were both students at Amherst University. They were on the men’s and women’s basketball teams, which is how they crossed paths.
“I found someone who liked me and held on tight,” told Prestige Online. The couple married on November 5, 1988.
How many kids does Harlan Coben have?
Harlan and Anne are parents to four children. They have two daughters, Charlotte and Eve, and two sons, Ben and Will. Charlotte has followed in the behind-the-scenes entertainment industry footsteps of her father. She wrote episodes for some of his shows, including Run Away, Fool Me Once, and Stay Close. Charlotte also created her own series, Dead Hot, a comedy thriller that aired on Prime Video in 2024.
The Coben children are all adults, with their youngest son graduating from Brown University in May 2023.
