Costa D’Angelo joins Tell Me Lies Season 3 as a new character, “whose life sits at the intersection of academia and danger — and whose history with Bree (Cat Missal) suggests the past isn’t done keeping score.” D’Angelo joins series stars Missal, Grace Van Patten, Jackson White, Spencer House, and more on the Baird campus, where his character is sure to make a major splash. Who is Costa D’Angelo?
D’Angelo is an Australian actor who graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts.
He revealed during an interview with the Casting Guild of Australia in 2023 that he got into acting at a young age. He explained, “I think I started when I was 12 years old. And, the way I got into it was actually was quite an interesting story.” According to D’Angelo, his parent put him into modeling first, and from there he met people who inspired him to act. His first audition was for an Angelina Jolie movie called Unbroken. While he made it to the final round, he was not chosen for the role. He also revealed during the interview that his experience includes dancing and singing.
Who does Costa D’Angelo play in Tell Me Lies?
D’Angelo plays Alex in Tell Me Lies Season 3. According to Deadline, Alex is a psychology grad student and part-time drug dealer who has a complicated past with Bree (Missal). Although he initially comes off as aloof and borderline rude, it quickly becomes clear that there are hidden depths to him.

The official Tell Me Lies Instagram page posted a video introducing viewers to Alex ahead of the Season 3 premiere, writing, “It’s about time we introduced you to Alex.” In the comments, D’Angelo responded, “Nice to meet you x.”
What else has Costa D’Angelo been in?
Before Tell Me Lies, Costa D’Angelo starred as Dusty in Rebel Wilson‘s The Deb, a comedy musical about two teenage girls attending a debutante ball in a small rural town. He also appeared in the Australian television shows Neighbours and Crazy Fun Park. D’Angelo is set to portray Young Adam Trask in the upcoming Netflix limited series, East of Eden, and has been cast as Owen Boone in the untitled Netflix hockey series from Shawn Levy‘s 21 Laps
