What To Know

  • Sonia Mena and Spencer House have reportedly been quietly dating in real life for years.
  • The duo play on-again/off-again couple Pippa and Wrigley on Tell Me Lies.
  • Several other cast members, including Jackson White and Grace Van Patten, have also formed real-life relationships through the show.

After years of telling lies on their hit TV show, Wrigley and Pippa have taken their relationship off-camera.

Sonia Mena and Spencer House have been “quietly dating for years,” per People. This announcement comes after Jenny Lin, the show’s makeup artist, casually mentioned that Mena and House were dating on Substack. She said, “[Spencer] and Sonia, who plays Pippa, are together in real life, and they’re just so nice. It’s so cute to have one big family, and we all love each other.”

The actors met on the set of Tell Me Lies Season 1, which premiered in September 2022. In the show, they play Wrigley and Pippa, who remain an on-again/off-again couple for all three seasons. While we know that they don’t actually end up together in the show since Pippa brings Diana (Alicia Crowder) to the present-day wedding, they aren’t the only couple to take their onscreen romance to the next level (or vice versa).

House and Mena join Jackson White (Stephen) and Grace Van Patten (Lucy), who famously met during his audition for the show, as well as Branden Cook (Evan) and Katherine Hughes (Molly), who recently got engaged. While Cook has been a cast member since Season 1, his then-longtime girlfriend, now fiancée, Hughes, joined the show during Season 2. Of course, she wasn’t the only significant other to join the cast that season, as creator Meaghan Oppenheimer’s husband, Tom Ellis (Oliver), took up residency as a professor at Baird.

While the cast of Tell Me Lies is known for their toxic onscreen relationships, it’s clear that something is in the air on that set. At this time, neither House nor Mena has hard-launched their relationship, but we’ll keep you posted on all the updates as they come in.
