What Happened Between ‘RHOBH’s Sutton Stracke & Ex-Husband Christian? Inside Their Divorce
Sutton Stracke‘s marriage to her husband, Christian Stracke, ended in 2016. The two met in high school in the late 1980s and tied the knot in 2000.
During the Season 15 premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Sutton revealed that her ex-husband had gotten their marriage annulled by the Catholic Church eight years after their divorce. Subsequent episodes have shown her coming to terms with that decision and reflecting on her relationship.

Who is Sutton Stracke’s ex-husband?
Christian is a successful banker who is currently the president of PIMCO, an investment management company. He started working there in 2008 and currently works out of the company’s London office.
Christian’s previously worked at CreditSights, Commerzbank Securities, and Deutsche Bank, per his bio.
Why did Sutton Stracke and her ex-husband divorce?
On the Season 13 premiere of RHOBH, Sutton opened up about the divorce and why the marriage didn’t work. “When my ex-husband and I got married, we were on equal footing,” she said. However, things changed when Sutton got pregnant with the former couple’s first child.
Sutton gave up her career to raise her family, which is when things shifted. “My power diminished,” she admitted. “It became, ‘Here’s your allowance.'”
Eventually, Sutton realized that she did not want someone to have financial control over her. She was the one who instigated the divorce by kicking Christian out of the house. Although the reality star wanted to try and work on the relationship after that, her ex-husband filed divorce papers on her birthday.
Per their divorce settlement, Sutton gets $300,000 a month from Christian “after taxes,” she revealed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in 2023.
Does Sutton Stracke have kids?
Yes, Sutton shares three children with Christian. Their daughter, Porter, was born in May 2002, followed by sons Philip and James in 2003 and 2007, respectively.
Porter and Philip have both appeared on RHOBH, although Sutton is mostly private about her children. When she first joined the show, Christian was also “adamant they could not film with me,” she revealed in 2020.
Porter, a graduate of William & Mary University, is currently in law school at Brooklyn Law School. Philip attends The Citadel Military College of South Carolina.

When Christian took his job in London in 2023, he told Sutton that James would be moving there with him. “This man gets what he wants,” Sutton pointed out at the RHOBH reunion. However, she put her foot down and refused to let their teenager move across the pond.
“I went to him and I said, ‘I am not moving to London. James is not moving to London. We’re staying here,'” Sutton revealed. “It took so much courage for me to do that.”
Sutton has considered purchasing additional property in London, but has not done so yet.
Where do Sutton and Christian Stracke stand now?
Sutton and Christian are on amicable terms now. “Our relationship is good,” she told Us Weekly in December 2025. “We met when we were 13. We were friends, and so we’re ending up as friends now.”
As for Christian’s decision to ask for an annulment, Sutton said, “I guess that’s just what he needed in the relationship. It was a little bit of a sucker punch. But, you know, you get used to things after the initial shock is over.”
In a separate interview with Bravo’s Daily Dish, she reiterated that things are “good” with Christian, adding, “He lives in London, so I don’t see him on the regular, but he sent our youngest to college, and we spent that weekend together, and we had a really great time. Even after we got him to his dorm, we had drinks by ourselves, just to kind of talk about the future of our children and what we’re gonna do there, and so we’re still very much intertwined and always will be. I think we finally made it to the friendship part of divorce.”
Back in December 2024, Sutton and her kids also took a trip to St. Barts with Christian and his girlfriend.
