What Happened to ‘RHOBH’ Star Amanda Frances’ Son? How He Died
Amanda Frances is one of the new cast members on Season 15 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Fans are slowly getting to know the entrepreneur as she reveals more about her personal life and past.
One thing Frances has not spoken about on the show yet is the tragic loss she faced in 2022 when her son, Zion, died. However, Frances has been open about the tragedy on social media over the years. Scroll down to learn more about what happened.
What happened to Amanda Frances’ son?
Frances’ son, Zion, died when he was just 4 days old. Zion and his twin brother, Canaan, were born when she was 29 weeks and two days pregnant. They were immediately admitted to the NICU.
Three and a half days later, Frances and her now-fiancé, Eddie Tsivislavsky, got a phone call from doctors. Frances revealed in an Instagram post that she “knew” it wasn’t good news.
How did Amanda Frances’ son die?
Zion died from a brain hemorrhage the next day.
“While we chose to fight, pray, demand and advocate for him with everything we had…He was not meant to be here,” Frances wrote. “He was not meant to be mine any longer in this life. I fought, but I knew this.”
Doctors tried to save Zion with blood transfusions, CPR, and by shocking his heart, Frances shared. Tsivislavsky “stayed up and sang to him… all night long,” and the family had another 24 hours with him before he died.
Canaan spent 68 days in the NICU before Frances and Tsivislavsky could bring him home.
How many kids does Amanda Frances have?
Frances had back-to-back pregnancies. She and Tsivislavsky welcomed a baby daughter, Delilah, in 2023, giving Canaan a little sister.
Frances is also a stepmom to Tsivislavsky’s children, Liam and Shoshana, from a previous relationship. The children were two and three-and-a-half when Frances met Tsivislavsky in 2018.

Frances considers Liam and Shoshana as her own and they call her “Smama.” On an episode of RHOBH, she said she has four children and noted that she is “raising” Tsivislavsky’s older kids.
After the episode aired, Frances shared a text message exchange with Liam and Shoshana’s mother in which she warned the other woman about what she would be saying on TV. Tsivislavsky’s ex responded, “You are raising our children, and I’m very grateful you’re such an attuned and a wonderful step mom. … whatever drama they wanna try to create, I mean, good luck cause we’re f**king solid.”
The woman also said she “expected this” to happen, adding, “Continue building your f**king empire. Our kids are happy and thriving, and you’re a big part of that.”
