Netflix’s newest teen romance, Finding Her Edge, follows Adriana Russo (Madelyn Keys), an ice dancer caught between her feelings for her old partner and first crush, Freddie (Oliver Atkins), and her new partner and fake boyfriend, Brayden (Ambrozic). It’s clear from the trailer alone that Adriana is in a truly unenviable position, as there are so many reasons to root for both guys, but now that it’s time for their love triangle to finally skate onto our screens, we needed to do a deeper dive.

Who is Cale Ambrozic?
Cale Ambrozic is a Canadian actor in his early 20s who appears to have played hockey for the Notre Dame Hounds during his high school years. He’s been acting since 2022, when he made his onscreen debut in the queer short film Lighthead.

Who does Cale Ambrozic play in Finding Her Edge?
Ambrozic plays Brayden Elliot, Russo Rink’s newest bad boy. According to Netflix, “Brayden is confident, brash, and achingly handsome. A supremely talented ice dancer whose partner recently quit the sport, Brayden is a hot commodity, and he knows it. He’s a bit of a showboat and a sore loser, but he’s also got the talent to back it up.”
While you’ll have to tune into the show to find out how Brayden and Adriana’s partnership plays out on and off the ice, Netflix has teased that “Adriana’s life becomes complicated when she and Brayden pretend to be a couple off the ice so they can land a sponsorship to keep the financially struggling Russo rink afloat.” If there’s one thing we love, it’s a fake dating trope, so this sounds like the perfect romantic conundrum to us!

Before his time on Finding Her Edge, Ambrozic sparked our romance-loving attention in We Were Liars, when he played Mirren’s (Esther McGregor) crush, Blake Beaumont. Prior to that, Ambrozic portrayed Howard in Hotel Cocaine and Young Stephen in Husband, Father, Killer. He’s also already set up his first post-Finding Her Edge recurring role in Quinn Shepard’s The Body.
