Where Is Allison DuBois Now? Reliving Kyle Richards’ Iconic ‘RHOBH’ Psychic Reading
The Thursday, January 22, episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will feature new cast member Rachel Zoe hosting a psychic soirée for the cast, which has us reminiscing about another iconic psychic moment from the show.
Back on Season 1 in 2010, Kyle Richards, who is still a member of the RHOBH cast, attended a dinner party at Camille Grammer‘s house, and Allison DuBois, a medium, was present. DuBois made a shocking prediction about Richards’ relationship with Mauricio Umansky, and it ended up coming to fruition.
Scroll down for a refresher on what happened during that wild 2010 dinner, as well as an update on what DuBois is up to today.
What did Allison DuBois tell Kyle Richards?
At “The Dinner Party From Hell,” DuBois told Richard that Umansky “will never emotionally fulfill you. Ever. Know that. He will never emotionally fulfill you, but you will stay with him, and he will take care of you. As soon as the kids are bigger, you’ll have nothing in common.”
She also later warned her, “Make sure you put the walls down for females coming into your life. I feel like you talk to males more easily than females.”
Richards and her castmates scoffed at DuBois’ reading, and wondered if perhaps she was actually picking up on energy from Grammer, who was going through marriage issues with Kelsey Grammer at the time and admitted to being more comfortable around men than women.

Well, in 2023, it seemed that DuBois’ prediction about Richards and Umansky had come true. The couple announced their separation and are now living separately, although they have not filed for divorce.
After the split news broke in July 2023, DuBois wrote on Instagram, “I don’t wish Kyle ill, I hope she finds what she’s looking for. I guess I’m the only one who ‘saw’ this coming. People kept telling me I was picking up on Camille’s divorce NOT Kyle (Okay, you arm chair psychics can sit down now). Mic drop.”
A few months later, Richards said she didn’t think DuBois was right in her reading. “My husband and I were very, very happy,” she said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “This is not fake. We really had an amazing marriage for a very long time.” She also reiterated, “I really do believe she was picking up on what Camille was going through because Camille wasn’t being honest about that at the time. Remember, at that point, nobody knew anything [about Kelsey and Camille].”
Is Allison DuBois a real psychic?
DuBois refers to herself as a medium and criminal profiler, as she feels the word “psychic” often has a negative connotation. Being a medium means she can communicate with spirits in other dimensions to make her predictions.
The show Medium, which aired from 2005 to 2011, was inspired by DuBois and based on her book, Don’t Kiss Them Good-Bye.
While there are skeptics about whether or not DuBois’ skills are real, she has maintained that her readings are legit.
What is Allison DuBois doing now?
DuBois is currently the host of a podcast called The Dead Life, which “takes you into the afterlife,” according to its description. She interviews guests who have been touched by guests and shares their stories about the afterlife.
Over the years, DuBois has also participated in various documentaries and continues to do readings over the phone and in-person. She created Dead University, which is “a master class for mediumship.” Students can take courses online and get video lessons from DuBois.
She also often takes her practice on tour. At her shows, she reads for audiences members and dives into some popular cold cases. In 2026, she’ll be taking her tour to Australia.
Is Allison DuBois still friends with Camille Grammer?
No, DuBois and Grammer had a falling out after the RHOBH drama. DuBois told Us Weekly in 2023 that she was able to see a cut of the episode before it aired, and she admitted that she was “mortified” by the edit she got.
“To see the cuts of her setting it up to make it seem like I knocked a few too many back really bothered me because she pre-taped that,” DuBois claimed, adding that she found it “really hard” to stay friends with Grammer afterwards.
Grammer spoke about the end of her friendship with DuBois on WWHL in 2016. “She hates me,” she admitted. “She thinks it’s all my fault. She thinks that I set her up, but I didn’t put the words in her mouth. She came on and said the things she said.”
Is Allison DuBois married?
Yes, DuBois has been married to her husband, Joe, since 1993. They are parents to daughters Aurora, Fallon, and Sophia.

In 2023, DuBois revealed that Joe was returning to school to get his PhD. He is an astrophysics graduate student at Arizona State University who previously worked for 15 years in the aerospace industry.
Joe ended up transitioning his career to the entertainment industry, working as a technical consultant on Medium and developing a company that “handles live performance production, web presence, marketing, contract negotiation, book publishing and merchandise development, sales, and fulfillment,” per his bio.
At ASU, he is a lead engineer for the LunaH-Map spacecraft that “will be mapping possible water deposits on the moon.”
