After Greta and Matthew’s shocking breakup during Season 7 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Matthew is headed to the Tell All with some exciting relationship news.
In Swooon’s exclusive sneak peek at the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 7 Tell All Part 1, host Shaun Robinson asks Greta and Matthew if they have seen each other since their breakup, which occurred less than a week after Greta arrived in England to live with Matthew. While Greta confirms that they haven’t spoken until that moment, Matthew shares an update about his relationship status.
“I’m happy, I’m in a new long-term relationship,” he says. As another cast member, Dylan put it, “Well, get down, Matthew.”
Along with Matthew’s exciting relationship news, he reveals, “I have a house, and a new life, and I’m in a really good place right now.” While some are quick to say that Matthew moved on too quickly from Greta, having started dating his new partner five or six months after their split, it’s important to remember that Greta broke up with him after living together for only four days.
In Swooon‘s preview, Greta turns to Matthew and asks how he met his new flame. Similar to their vegan dating app meet-cute, Matthew reveals that he met his new partner online. Things turn more awkward as Greta fumbles her words, asking, “What happened at, like, when did you guys consummate or become official?”
While Matthew never reveals who his new partner is, he shares that they “went to go and get a bite to eat” on their first date. He explains, “I think it was very clear in the first hour that I’ve met my soul companion, and that dinner went on for about five hours, and they eventually kicked us out of the restaurant. It was quite magical.”
Greta previously told Swooon that she believed Matthew would be better off with someone else. She explained, “I wished him to have, like, that partner, and that family, and that stability in the house, and everything that he’s always wanted. I was quite unsure if that person was me.”
