  • Since his release, Jorge has undergone a significant weight loss transformation and found love.

It has been a decade since Jorge Nava and his now-ex wife, Anfisa Arkhipchenko, appeared on 90 Day Fiancé Season 4. That being said, the duo is still one of the most talked-about couples to come out of the franchise.

Fans may remember Jorge, a 27-year-old from Riverside, California, who slid into his Russian then-fiancée Anfisa’s DMs on Facebook before bringing her to the States on a K-1 Visa. At the time, Anfisa made it clear that she liked Jorge for his money and assumed he liked her for her looks. After a volatile three months, during which Anfisa smashed Jorge’s phone and keyed “idiot” into his car, the couple tied the knot. However, their marital bliss was short-lived as Jorge was arrested roughly two months after their wedding. Their relationship did not survive his 22-month prison sentence.

What is Jorge Nava from 90 Day Fiancé doing now?

A decade after his time on 90 Day Fiancé, Jorge is happily married with two kids. After splitting with Anfisa, Jorge hard-launched his relationship with his now-wife, Rhoda, in June 2020. The couple then had their daughter, Zara, in 2021, and their son, George, in 2022.

On Father’s Day in 2023, Rhoda gushed about her husband, writing, “Happy Father’s Day to the best partner in life and the greatest dad to our children. I just want to take a moment to appreciate you for all the love you shower us with. Your ability to always put us first is nothing short of amazing. I am beyond grateful for you, for your love, and for the family we have built together. I love you today and always.”

Since his time on TLC, Jorge has also founded his own marijuana company, Jay Smokes. He recently shared on social media, “I didn’t build this company in my comfort zone. I built it from every failure that forced me to grow.”

Why did Jorge go to jail?

In 2018, Jorge was arrested in Arizona after he was found with 293 lbs. of high-grade marijuana in his car. While recreational marijuana was legal in some states at the time, Arizona was not on that list.

At the time, Jorge publicly stated, “I feel like it’s really harsh of a penalty for the crime being just because it’s marijuana-related and right now, it’s going legal. I feel like the whole fact of it, going to prison over the same stuff that’s legal is kinda crazy to me.” After serving 22 months of his two-and-a-half-year sentence, Jorge was released from prison.

Why did Jorge Nava and Anfisa Arkhipchenko break up?

Jorge and Anfisa split in March 2020, nine months before their divorce was finalized in December 2020. While Anfisa originally appeared unfazed by his sentence, Jorge explained that they had an argument the day before his incarceration. Two months into his imprisonment, Anfisa told Jorge that she no longer wanted to be with him. Despite talking on the phone with Anfisa consistently throughout his time in prison, Jorge found out that Anfisa was with someone else on social media.

How did Jorge Nava lose weight?

In 2020, less than a month before his release, Jorge gave an update to 90 Day Fiancé fans on his life by calling in from prison for 90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined. On the call, he revealed that he had lost over a 120 pounds and counting. Jorge revealed that his weight loss came from his change in lifestyle while being behind bars. “Being in solitary confinement for a little bit, you kind of get to think a lot,” he explained. “You get to read a lot of books and kind of change your mindset on things. I got the taste of success a little bit when I was able to change my mindset to change my personal appearance, like, with literally a small seed.”
