Hold on, Kanthony fans. While Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley) may not appear in Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1, we already know they’ll get some time to shine in the back half. In the teaser trailer for the upcoming episodes, there’s a brief glimpse of the Viscount and Viscountess Bridgerton, looking as happily in love as ever… with their baby in tow. Cue the screams!

Since everyone has already started fawning over the first look at the next baby Bridgerton, Swooon thought it was about time we did a deep dive into their family, especially after we did the same for Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan). Let’s get into it, dearest gentle readers.

How many kids do Anthony and Kate have in Bridgerton?

In Season 3, fans found out that Kate and Anthony were expecting their first baby, and they would start their family in India. Anthony wanted to learn more about Kate’s culture so they could share that with their child. The couple remains in Kate’s home country for the duration of Season 4 Part 1, which is a departure from Sophie and Benedict’s book.

An Offer From a Gentleman, on the other hand, sees the couple start their family in Mayfair. Their son, Edmund, arrives about a month after the masquerade ball, and the family of three resides in Bridgerton House.

At one point in the book, Benedict remarks that their second son, Miles, was born roughly a year later. Their daughters, Charlotte and Mary, come along in later books. So, if the show sticks to the source material, we can expect four Kanthony babies in total.

However, the show could switch things up with the kiddos. We caught a glimpse of the new baby Bridgerton in the teaser, and it seems to be a girl — though one of servants mentions that they’re excited to meet to the “heir” in Episode 1. “We have certainly needed more boys,” Footman John (Oli Higginson) remarks.

Some fans suspect Kanthony may have had two babies off-screen, depending on how much time passes between the events of Part 1 and Part 2. “Why do I think this is baby Charlotte, with older brother Edmund out of shot?” says an X post. “Simone said there will be a surprise. Since we already knew about Kate’s Edmund pregnancy, is Charlotte baby #2 the surprise?”
