During Part 1 of the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 7 Tell All, Luke Berry revealed that he had moved back to the States after marrying Madelein Perez in Colombia. To make matters worse, he arrived at the Tell All without his wedding ring. In Swooon‘s exclusive preview of the Tell All Part 2, Luke and Madelein finally confirm their relationship status today and reveal the real reason why Luke is no longer wearing his ring.
In the sneak peek above, Luke reveals that he gave his wedding ring to Madelein after she lost hers. How? Your guess is as good as ours. While Madelein shares one harrowing story of her missing ring, Luke claims he heard another. At the same time, another cast member is convinced that Madelein didn’t lose the ring at all.
Luke reveals, “She lost her wedding rings and asked me to bring my wedding ring to Colombia so that she could make two wedding bands from these diamonds in my wedding ring.”
According to Madelein, she lost her ring after getting burned by the liquid refrigerant in her car. She tells the cast, “I was in my truck, and my car have some problems with, like, the liquid refrigerant. I open the cup, and this liquid go up so, so, so hot, and the ring was hurting me. So I take it [off], and I save in my pants because I’ve been so much hurt in my hands. And later I think I lost [it] from my pocket because I look every, every, everywhere and I never found it.”
Of course, Luke claims Madelein had previously told him a far less dramatic story about losing the ring while she was at the gym. That’s when fellow cast member Dylan Yeandle steps in to offer his two cents on Madelein’s story. He tells them, “I think I might know what happened. I reckon she went and bloody pawned them.”
While Luke and Madelein’s wedding ring saga confirms that the couple is still going strong despite their lost rings, we’ll have to wait until the second part of the Tell All to find out what’s next for the couple.
