A Deep Dive Into the Love Lives of the ‘Single’s Inferno’ Hosts
Over the past five seasons, Single’s Inferno has inspired plenty of commentary amongst fans — and the Korean reality show’s hosts. As viewers react to the drama that transpires between the singles, the panel of hosts, which includes rapper Hanhae, former contestant Dex, comedian Hong Jin-kyung, actress Lee Da-hee, and K-pop band member Kyuhyun, do the same on screen.
Though the dating lives of the participants are at the forefront of everyone’s mind, we found ourselves wondering if the hosts have romance in their own lives. After all, they don’t hold back when it comes to sharing their thoughts about the Single’s Inferno cast.
Are any of the panelists married? What has Dex’s love life looked like since he went on the show in Season 2? Swooon is breaking down each host’s dating history and more.

Hong Jin-kyung
In August 2025, Hong divorced her husband of 22 years, per Korea JoongAng Daily. The Korean news outlet Dispatch reported that the split was amicable. “They lived 22 good years and just agreed to spend the rest of their lives happily apart,” an insider said, which was translated from Korean to English.
After dating for five years, the actress wed the former businessman in 2003, and his identity doesn’t appear to have been revealed to the public. They had a daughter in 2010.
According to Koreaboo, she said in a YouTube video, “People might ask why we separated, but it wasn’t anyone’s fault. We just wanted to try living differently. After parting ways and becoming strangers, we found a true friendship. Back then, I just liked and trusted him as a partner, but now he’s become a really good ‘oppa’ to me. There wasn’t a single defining fault. Everyone has struggles in marriage. If someone asks why we divorced, I honestly have no clear answer — it was just our personal decision. Everyone has different limits.”

Kyuhyun
Kyuhyun is tight-lipped about his dating life for the most part, even though he’s been in the public eye since he joined the Super Junior band in 2006. In 2013, he shared that he hadn’t been in a relationship before, though in another interview in 2021, he referenced an ex-girlfriend. Everything else about his romantic life has been speculation.

Lee Da-hee
She’s starred in a number of projects, but Lee has never publicly confirmed a relationship. The Beauty Inside actress did share her views on marriage when discussing her K-drama The Divorce Insurance. She told the Times of India, “Don’t go all-in on your marriage… I don’t think it’s right to give up everything because there are other very important parts of your life other than marriage.”

HANHAE
Hanhae also seems to keep his romantic life private. His last reported relationship was with actress Han Ji-eun. Per Soompi, the two went public in August 2019, though they started dating in December 2018. Their breakup was announced in September 2020.

Dex (Kim Jin-young)
Dex appeared on Single’s Inferno Season 2, but he left single, despite forming a connection with Shin Seul-ki. Dex hasn’t been linked to anyone romantically since becoming the breakout star of the reality show in 2023.
