When Jovon landed in the Philippines and finally met Annalyn IRL, he told viewers, “I rehearsed the moment in my head a thousand times of how I was gonna approach her and what she was gonna look like, and she’s just everything that I ever hoped for and more.” She explained, “This just feels like a dream, it feels surreal.”

That being said, Jovon explained to viewers that he wants to make sure he made the right choice in marrying Annalyn before applying for her K-1 Visa.
While the couple is still going strong, their honeymoon has not been without its tense moments. Jovon told viewers, “We had our first in-person fight, so right now it seems like I’m in the doghouse.” According to Jovon, he told Annalyn not to call his sister and vent about their issues. Annalyn asked viewers, “Why can’t I reach out to his sister? She’s my family, too. So why can’t I confide [in] her when he can confide [in] any b***h.”

Jovon and Annalyn revealed that they met six years ago on a dating app called Filipino Cupid. The app tells potential users that it “has connected thousands of Filipino singles with their matches from around the world.” While this is not their first attempt at meeting up in person, the pandemic and other stressors caused them to halt their meeting until now. Ultimately, Jovon suggested that they should get married on Zoom to allow him to “enter the Philippines border” during the pandemic.
