Hello. Russo Rink? We have some questions for your skaters.
While Season 1 of Finding Her Edge ended with a definitive choice from Adriana (Madelyn Keys), a dramatic partner switch-up, and a change in ownership for Russo Rink, the series finale left us with far more questions than answers, which has us all hungry for a potential Season 2.
From why Brayden (Cale Ambrozic) wants to skate with Riley (Millie Davis) to who Adriana’s dad (Harmon Walsh) will choose in his own love triangle, Swooon‘s breaking down our biggest questions after Season 1 of Finding Her Edge.
1. Is Brayden only skating with Riley to mess with Adriana?
This question actually comes from author Jennifer Iacopelli herself, who told Swooon during an exclusive interview that she was convinced that Brayden could be using Riley to mess with Adriana. The author explained that she had spoken about her theory with Ambrozic, and the two couldn’t decide just yet whether they think Brayden has a genuine interest in a partnership with Riley. She explained, “If we get renewed, I can’t wait to see that play out, because that’s gonna be fun.”
2. Are Katya and Weston officially dating now?
While we only saw a few seconds of Katya (Nicole Volossetski) and Weston’s (Aidan Shaw) new relationship, it’s clear that they could be the couple to watch during Season 2. It sounds like Weston’s headed off to college, but he assures her it’s only a few hours away, as the two throw about the word “babe” far too much for our liking. Team Braydriana? More like Team Westya!

3. Is Freddie’s height really an issue?
At the beginning of Season 1, viewers found out that Adriana and Freddie (Olly Atkins) stopped skating together the first time around due to his height. According to Adriana, she had gone through a growth spurt, and she and Freddie were no longer compatible skating partners. While both have clearly done a lot of growing, both physically and emotionally, during their time apart, we can’t help but wonder if they’re still incompatible on the ice. Whether it’s a height difference, skill disparity, or an issue of dating complicating their competitive partnership, the duo has not proven that they are compatible on the ice yet.
4. Will we ever see Elise’s reality TV show?
In the book, the Russo house is flooded with a camera crew filming a reality TV show about Elise (Alexandra Beaton) ahead of the Olympics. The young Russos haven’t headed off to the Olympics yet in the series, so there’s still time for this book plot point to make its way to the screen. We, for one, would love it if a little reality TV drama made its way into the scripted series.
5. Do Will and Camille ever get together?
Adriana, Freddie, and Brayden weren’t the only love triangle to grace our screens during Finding Her Edge Season 1. We’re still eager to find out what happens between Will (Walsh) and Camille (Meredith Forlenza), but we can’t count Michelle (Kimberly-Sue Murray) out yet!

6. Who’s Charlie’s new partner?
At the end of Season 1, Maria (Alice Malakhov) left her ice skating career to lead a more “normal” life as a student. While he ultimately understood her choice, this meant leaving her old partner, Charlie (Niko Ceci), alone. Could this mean a new skater is coming to live at Russo — now Voltage — Rink?
7. How will Voltage change Russo Rink?
Speaking of Voltage, new ownership could lead to massive changes for the Russo family and the rest of the skaters. This could mean anything from stricter rules and new coaches to a no-fraternizing policy between skaters. Season 1 saw a fake romance between Brayden and Adriana. Could Season 2 see a forbidden romance between Adriana and Freddie?
