According to Johny, his mother died after having a heart attack due to complications from an illness. He revealed, “I spent a good year with my mom, before she passed, and she was sick the whole time. We didn’t know what day she would go. And so when I lost her, it was a complete devastation, like I felt completely heartbroken and destroyed, and that was very hard.”
When did Johny’s mom die?
While Johny did not reveal when his mother passed, he explained, “Now that she’s gone, I’m really appreciating everything that she did for me.” Johny did explain that Chloe is his first serious relationship since his mother died. Seeing as Johny and Chloe had been together for eleven months ahead of the season, it’s clear that his mother died at least a year before filming began.

According to Johny, the last woman he lived with before Chloe was his mother. He had moved back in with her after his ex cheated on him. “My mom was everything to me,” he told viewers. “I was with my ex, and when we broke up, and I saw her with someone else and everything like that, I thought that was heartbreak. I thought nobody could hurt me worse than that. But when I lost my mom, when I lost her, then I really realized what heartbreak really was.”
