Last we saw Cortney Reardanz, the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star left 90 Day: Hunt for Love with her new boyfriend and fellow 90 Day Fiancé alum Colt Johnson. Now that the couple has moved in together (with Cortney’s parents!), Cortney can finally give fans the update we’ve all been waiting to find out.
Ahead of 90 Day: The Single Life, Cortney sat down with Swooon to spill all the tea on her relationship with Colt, his recovery after his scary injury on Hunt for Love, and what fans can expect to see during Season 5 of the 90 Day Fiancé spinoff. As she put it, “It’s gonna be a wild ride.”
“Life has been so crazy,” Cortney shared, reflecting on her life with Colt since we last saw them on Hunt for Love. “I’m excited for the show to finally air so I can start gossiping about it online because I feel like I’ve been keeping everything secret for almost a year now.”

According to Cortney, they started filming for The Single Life right after they left the singles resort. She told Swooon, “It’s gonna follow our journey for the whole year, what we’ve been doing.” Fans may remember that during her time on Hunt for Love, Cortney was in a dramatic love triangle between her now-boyfriend, Colt, and fellow 90 Day alum, Usman Umar.
When asked if she still chats with Usman, Cortney revealed, “Sometimes. Mostly, he’ll share his music videos, I’m sure he’s sending them to everybody, or like, different memes and stuff, too.” When it comes to their relationship, she explained, “We’re friendly. We don’t have any beef with each other.”
While fans got a taste of her relationship with Colt after he fell for her — literally — on Hunt for Love, Cortney told Swooon that fans can expect to see a completely different side of their relationship on The Single Life. “I think it was a big change just bringing him to Florida, him living with my parents and me,” she confessed. “I think it’s gonna show a much more vulnerable side and, like, raw, real. It’s gonna be crazy.”
“I love living with my parents,” Cortney explained, “I’ve lived with boyfriends or lived with roommates, but I’d say my parents are the best because they cook, they clean, they pay everything. I don’t need to pay bills. So that’s incredible.”
Once Colt moved in, that dynamic shifted. “It was a little inconvenient at first,” Cortney told Swooon, “just because he was in the wheelchair. My dad put in a special shower bench and everything for him, but he kind of had his own section of the house, so I think he had enough privacy or space to himself.”
“We’d only really have lunch with my parents, and then we would just go sightseeing around Orlando, and my parents would do their own thing. They go golfing, they go to bed early, so it was only around lunchtime that we really hung out with them.” That being said, she explained, “I think it was a big adjustment for him living with my family because I think usually women live with him and his mom [Debbie].”

Outside of their living situation, Cortney confessed that her relationship with Colt has been incredibly different from her previous ones. “I’d say, usually I date men that are ambitious, successful, high up, or have their own businesses,” she revealed to Swooon. “I met Colt during a rough patch. He had not been working for a year. But I love that he’s an engineer and could work remote. So I’m like, great, we can travel anywhere, you’re not glued to a nine-to-five or having to go to work every single day.”
While Cortney is most excited to see how Kim Menzies‘ story shakes down on The Single Life, she admitted, “I’m also excited to see my story because I haven’t seen it air yet, or the editing they’ve done. Living it in real time, too, I want to see how my life ends up. So I’m like, please don’t judge me.” She explained, “It’s hard when everybody online is also weighing in on your relationships and stuff, too. So I hope that outside noise doesn’t affect my relationship.”
Teasing what is to come this season, Cortney revealed, “It’s gonna be a wild ride. Even when I tell the other cast, because the cast are like, ‘Oh my god, I can’t believe all this happened.’ And I’m like, yeah, well, just wait. It’s gonna get wilder.”
