Stefon Diggs didn’t come out of the 2026 Super Bowl a winner, and it seems like he may be taking some hits in his personal life, too. The New England Patriots lost to the Seattle Seahawks 29-13 during the big game on February 8, and afterwards, rumors began surfacing that the wide receiver’s relationship with Cardi B is over.
Prior to getting together with Diggs in 2025, Cardi B was famously in an on-again, off-again relationship with Offset from 2017 to 2024. She filed for divorce from the rapper in July 2024, one day before announcing that she was pregnant with their third child.
Now, it’s looking like things could be just as messy in her romance with Diggs, whom she was first linked to just months after her split from Offset (although they didn’t confirm the relationship until June 2025).

In the clip, she was asked by an ESPN reporter to share her inspiring words for Diggs, and she responded, “Good luck,” before walking away.
It’s also been theorized that she left the game at Levi’s Stadium after the Halftime Show. Cardi made a cameo in Bad Bunny‘s set, but then posted a video of herself seemingly listening to his music in the car before the game was even over.
Just two weeks before all of this went down, Cardi and Diggs were very much still together. “I feel so excited. I’m so proud of him,” she gushed after the Patriots won the AFC Championship. “I hope he’s so proud of himself. He came back from an ACL [tear]. Do you understand this? That man worked hard every single day and night.”
Then, days before the Super Bowl, Diggs teased a major milestone in his and Cardi B’s future. When asked about whether he has plans to propose to Cardi, he told reporters, “It’s on the agenda.” However, he noted that he has to get his ring “first” with the Patriots.
“It’s a level of appreciation because she’s an amazing woman,” he added. “Being there for me is hard, you can imagine. I’m a lot to deal with, but I never want to not let her know that I appreciate her for being there. Not just for the games, but she supported me when she wasn’t there.”
