Cory Thiesse is competing for Team USA in mixed doubles curling at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Alongside partner Korey Dropkin, Cory is going for gold after an epic win against Italy in the semifinals.
After serving as an alternate in the 2018 Olympics, Cory made her official Olympic debut this year. She and her partner will be standing on that podium with either the silver or gold medal by the end of the day.

What does Cory Thiesse’s husband do for a living?
Sam is a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley in Duluth, Minnesota. He has held the position since April 2020, according to his LinkedIn.
Per the Morgan Stanley website, Sam is committed to developing long-term relationships with his clients. He is driven to “offer a first-class service for individuals and businesses through creating financial plans, preparing and monitoring portfolios, and helping clients navigate the markets.”
Prior to that, he worked as a tax accountant from 2016 to 2020. Sam graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2016 with a degree in accounting and financial planning. Cory also attended the University of Minnesota Duluth.
How long has Cory Thiesse been married?
Cory and Sam celebrated three years of marriage in June 2025. After their June 4, 2022, wedding in Duluth, Minnesota, Cory wrote on Instagram, “Saturday was everything we could have ever dreamed of and more! I have not stopped smiling. I love you and our people so much, @sam.thiesse.”

No, Cory and Korey were never in a romantic relationship. She previously partnered with John Shuster for six seasons in mixed doubles before teaming up with Korey in 2022. Cory and Korey won the 2023 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, solidifying their partnership moving forward.
