New YA love triangle, incoming! In Prime Video’s upcoming Love Me Love Me, June (Mia Jenkins) enrolls in an elite Milan private school, where she finds herself torn between a troubled MMA fighter and his honor student best friend.
The Italian romance film debuts on February 13, so it won’t be long until you’ll be able to decide if you’re on Team James or Team Will — unless you’ve already read the Wattpad story-turned-novel it’s based on. Regardless, you need to get to know the actors playing them. Swooon has done a deep dive into Pepe Barroso Silva and Luca Melucci, so you can get up to speed on these hunks. Keep reading to find out how old they are, what they’ve been in before, and more.
Who is Pepe Barroso Silva?
Though Love Me Love Me is set in Italy, 29-year-old Silva hails from Madrid, Spain. His father is a Spanish entrepreneur. “My father was a very successful entrepreneur and always instilled very hard-working values in me and my brothers,” the actor told 1883 Magazine. “It never mattered what we did so long as we were happy and motivated to work hard and push the boundaries.”
Before he started acting, Silva modeled for brands like Hollister. He also played soccer, competing for Atletico de Madrid’s youth academy from 2010 to 2014. Silva received an athletic scholarship to UCLA, where he remained until he was 21. In a February 2026 interview, he said soccer remains a significant part of his life and explained why he left the team.
“My family has been deeply involved in Atletico de Madrid for generations, it is part of us,” he told Schon! Magazine. “It’s sort of a way of living for us. It is one of those decisions that shape a future differently. I give my everything to anything I do but, at that particular moment in college, my teammates and I lived in a very unfair situation — it was when the conflict of the bribing of coaches happened. Our coach at that time was deeply involved, so as soon as I was aware of his mistreatment and lack of respect towards us who worked really really hard to be there, I had to stand up against that and quit.”
What else has Pepe Barroso Silva been in?
After he quit soccer, Silva, who speaks English and Spanish fluently, pivoted to acting and launched a sustainable clothing brand. He returned to Spain and earned roles in Netflix’s Alta Mar and 45 Revoluciones. He made his feature film debut in 2023’s Gran Turismo before starring in the Peacock historical drama Those About to Die. He’s set to appear in another Prime Video Wattpad adaptation, Boulevard.

“I’m very non-conformist and always looking for something new and different to get myself involved in,” he told 1883 Magazine. “I like learning new things, and the more challenging it is, the more attracted I am. This kind of crazy balance works for me as I always have my head in something. I never wanted to be in a position where I depended on one thing, not just economically, but also for my health.”

The 27-year-old was born in Rome. Like his costar, Melucci has a modeling background. He’s signed to agencies in New York, Milan, Barcelona, Copenhagen, and Hamburg, according to Models.com, and he’s walked on the runway for a number of brands, including Giorgio Armani in 2023 and 2024.
What else has Luca Melucci been in?
Melucci has two — now three with Love Me Love Me — Italian projects under his belt. He appeared in SKAM Italia, per his Instagram, and the 2024 rom-com Mascarpone: The Rainbow Cake.
“I wish you all to experience something like this,” he wrote in an Instagram post about the movie, which was translated from Italian to English. “I wish you the chance to work on a film with extraordinary people to receive all the love in the world and to give it back. I wish you to love, even when that love isn’t returned. To love yourselves, to believe in something. I’m deeply grateful to be part of a project like this, and for all the love it carries with it.”
