What To Know

  • Chock Chapple and Joan Vassos have once again delayed the timing of their wedding.
  • The Golden Bachelorette couple opened up about why they won’t be tying the knot in 2026.
  • Chapple and Vassos got engaged in summer 2024.

Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple have been engaged for nearly two years, but they’re still not walking down the aisle anytime soon. While The Golden Bachelorette couple has always been open about the fact that they’re not rushing their wedding, they’ve now delayed their timeline once again.

Vassos and Chapple answered fans’ most-asked questions about them in an Instagram video and revealed when they expect to tie the knot.

“You might look for something in 2027,” Chapple teased. The reason? Well, one of Vassos’ kids is already getting married in 2026, so she and Chapple have “elected to not compete with them” and “let them have their year.” This 2026 wedding will follow another of Vassos’ sons tying the knot in 2025.

“Hopefully nobody else will get married [in 2027],” Vassos laughed, although she pointed out that Chapple has a son who “possibly could.” She added, “We have grown kids, and we just happen to be falling into that part of their lives. We’ll get married sometime when the kids aren’t getting married.”

The two are also continuing to navigate a long-distance relationship, with Chapple in Kansas and Vassos in Maryland, although they make it a point to try to see each other every two weeks. Vassos also confirmed that “one day” she and her future husband will live in the same place, although they “haven’t figured out the city yet.”

She explained, “It probably won’t be where I live, it probably won’t be where [Chapple] lives. I think we’ll probably keep our houses and then have a love shack someplace.”

Vassos and Chapple got engaged during the finale of The Golden Bachelorette, which was filmed during the summer of 2024. At the end of 2025, fans began wondering if the pair had split after Vassos didn’t mention Chapple in a Thanksgiving post. However, she later clarified that “the rumors are all untrue.”
