In nine and a half seasons, Love Is Blind has followed dozens of couples, seeing them date in the pods, get engaged, and live together for a few weeks before either marrying or calling it quits. Some participants’ experiences end after the pod stage, when they don’t get a proposal after 10 days. In a few cases, a couple will get engaged, but the show elects not to film them moving forward.
That was the case with Season 10’s Elissa Finley, who viewers might recall went to the hospital after putting nail glue in her eye in Episode 1. Though she appeared in a handful of group scenes with the other women, that incident was about all that we saw of Elissa in the first six episodes. One might assume that was because she didn’t find a connection in the pods — but she did. Elissa got engaged to Miguel Josue Lopez, but Love Is Blind didn’t show it on screen. They didn’t go on vacation with the rest of the couples, either.

Why were Elissa and Miguel cut from Love Is Blind Season 10?
Love Is Blind creator Chris Coelen told Entertainment Weekly, “We actually had eight couples get engaged, and followed seven of them. The eighth couple, who we did not follow, broke off their engagement the next day.”
Coelen didn’t share more, but Elissa did. She told Tudum that her two strongest connections were with Jordan Faeth and Miguel. “After so much time, I felt more chemistry with Miguel than with Jordan, which started to become more of a friend vibe. That’s why I went to Miguel.”
“We got engaged,” she continued. “We did the reveal, and it was awesome. Right away, when we saw each other — it was chemistry, like I thought it would be.”
Are Elissa and Miguel still together?
They weren’t chosen to continue with filming, but they agreed to keep seeing each other at home. Things changed between them when they returned, according to Elissa, with Miguel revealing that he was moving to Tampa, Florida, a day before he was set to leave. She also claims he was irked by her knowing his former fiancée. “He stole this experience from me,” Elissa said. “It was really hard afterward. Since that day, we haven’t talked. That was it.”
She concluded, “I dodged a bullet [with Miguel]. Now, I’m going to ask the harder questions sooner and not waste my time, especially because I’m 39. Like, what are your values really? Are you a narcissist? Hopefully no. Next time, I’m going to find those red flags real quick.”
