Get to Know Vic St. John, the Fan Favorite Professor on ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 10
What To Know
- Vic St. John is a Love Is Blind Season 10 cast member.
- The fan favorite found a match quickly in the pods.
- He works as a university professor.
In the latest batch of Love Is Blind episodes, Vic St. John met his new fiancée‘s mom, who remarked that neither he nor her daughter “fit the mold” for the show. “I find it strange that someone like you, with your education, would do this,” she asked the Season 10 star, who has emerged as a Season 10 fan favorite.
Vic found a match quickly in the pods, bonding with his eventual fiancée over the obstacles they’ve overcome in their pasts and their shared Christian faiths. Since then, the 34-year-old’s romance has unfolded onscreen with significantly less drama involved compared to some other participants. As he’s gotten to know his new partner, they’ve also gotten deep about their vision for their future together, including having kids.
“People I’ve dated have seen me as Superman, and that makes it hard to open up,” he told Tudum. “My biggest fear is being vulnerable and getting hurt.” He told the outlet that he was looking for someone that would value his “transparency, consistency, and overall security” — and respect that he’s “a slow burn.” He added, “I’m not a golden retriever. I’m a doberman. We just have to take our time and pace ourselves.”
Needless to say, Vic’s steady presence has made an impression on viewers. Read on for everything we’ve learned about Vic, on screen and off.
Who is Vic St. John?
The comment from his fiancée’s mom makes sense when you consider that Vic is a professor of public policy. More specifically, he’s a tenure‑track assistant professor of public policy at The Ohio State University’s John Glenn College of Public Affairs and a faculty affiliate of OSU’s Criminal Justice Research Center, per his website. The academic, who’s a first-generation college graduate, once worked as an assistant professor of criminology and criminal justice at Saint Louis University. He earned his PhD from John Jay College of Criminal Justice at the City University of New York.

Reddit users claiming to be his students and colleagues have offered their impressions of Vic. One wrote, “He is a true gentleman and a scholar. And a stud.” Another added, “I’ve know him for over a decade. Dope guy. Smart, calm, genuine. V smart.” Another explained, “He was an ex colleague of mines and honestly, a real solid guy! He’s super smart and intelligent and I honestly enjoyed working with him and engaging with him because he really knew his stuff!”
As he explained in the pods, Vic was raised by a single mom in Brooklyn, New York, having moved to Columbus in 2023. He started working in criminology and criminal justice in 2010.
He told his eventual fiancée that he was involved in “knucklehead behavior in his community” when he was a teenager and had broken out of it by the time he was 18 and going to college. After Christine revealed that she got a misdemeanor for possession of marijuana when she was 18 that was later expunged, Vic admitted that he got a misdemeanor for the same thing.
Who did Vic date in the pods?
Viewers only saw Vic date the woman he proposed to at the end of Episode 1: Christine Hamilton, a 31-year-old speech-language pathologist. “It’s crazy how after such a short period of time, I feel like you really know me, and you get me,” Christine said, adding that it was rare to find a partner with similar life goals and chemistry.
When he met Christine’s mom, Vic explained, “She knows things about me that no one else knows about me at this point, which is mind-blowing, and she still accepts me for who I am.”

Are Vic and Christine still together?
Though their post-experiment fate is still under wraps, Vic and Christine are still together as of Episode 9. Their most significant development was a conversation about having a biracial child. Christine asked her fiancé if he had any fear about a White woman being the mother of his children, and he assured her that he didn’t.
Christine said, “I think the only thing that I have, and it’s not a fear. I don’t know what the right word would be, but, like, that reminder that I’m not going to be able to understand or to relate 100% with my own kid with something is a big deal… I just want to make sure that we’re able to maneuver that right.”
The couple later visited Christine’s rural hometown, which went well. She did bring up a concern a confessional interview, explaining, “There’s a part of me that was like, ‘Am I good enough for him? Why would he choose me?’”
