While McRae and Hughes have never confirmed their relationship status, various sightings have led to speculation that they’re an item. They were first spotted together in November 2025. In photos obtained by DeuxMoi, the singer and athlete were seen at dinner together in New York City.
Later that month, fans noticed McRae at one of Hughes’ hockey games at the Prudential Center in New Jersey (he plays for the New Jersey Devils). The day after the sighting, the rumored couple was photographed strolling on the streets of New York city together.
In January 2026, Hughes celebrated his birthday in Hoboken, New Jersey, and McRae was in attendance, per DeuxMoi.
