What Happened Between Tyler Cameron & Hannah Brown? Their ‘Bachelorette’ Split & the Aftermath
Tyler Cameron and Hannah Brown will reunite during the premiere of HGTV’s new show Bachelor Mansion Takeover, which premieres on March 2. While Cameron is co-hosting the show alongside Tayshia Adams, Brown will be serving as a guest judge in the competition.
The two have quite a history, which dates back to 2019 when Cameron was a contestant on Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. While he wasn’t her final pick, their relationship didn’t end after the show.

What happened to Tyler Cameron and Hannah Brown on The Bachelorette?
Cameron was the runner-up on The Bachelorette Season 15. Brown ended up choosing Jed Wyatt over Cameron at the final rose ceremony and got engaged.
Brown later explained that Wyatt was the “safer” choice for her, as she was worried that things with Cameron were almost too good to be true. “I was immediately attracted to Tyler, but I didn’t take it seriously at first,” she told People. “I was so scared to get hurt by him. And I didn’t know if he was really ready for [marriage]. Then I started to slowly break down. And [by] the fantasy suites, it wrecked me. I felt like I did a disservice because I hadn’t allowed myself that time to be ready to be engaged to Tyler.”
Although Cameron was dumped by the Bachelorette on the show, he was supportive of her and her journey as the season aired. By the finale, Brown and Wyatt had already broken up after it was revealed that he had another girlfriend before filming and was only using the show as a platform for his music career.
Cameron and Brown reunited during After the Final Rose and she asked him if he wanted to grab a drink with her, which he agreed to. Days later, he was photographed leaving her house after they spent the night together.
Did Tyler Cameron date Gigi Hadid?
The reunion between Cameron and Brown was short-lived, as just two days after his evening at her house, he was spotted on a date with Gigi Hadid. They were hot and heavy for about two months before ending the relationship in October 2019.
Brown later admitted that she hoped she and Cameron would start dating after everything that went down on The Bachelorette, so she was shocked by his romance with Hadid. “I was really caught off-guard,” Brown admitted to People. “I knew we were not together or openly dating, but just from the conversations we’d had, it was so shocking … and so public.”
The Alabama native said she tried to play it off like the situation didn’t bother her, but confirmed that it “deeply hurt” her to see Cameron in such a public relationship after everything that happened between them.
“No matter how much we talked, and connected, I always felt like his bench girl,” Brown admitted in her 2021 book. “Like I was the backup player who never got to play in the game.” She also wrote, “My time with Tyler at my apartment wasn’t some meaningless hookup, the way it was portrayed in the press. My heart was on the line. And he broke it. With a supermodel.”
Did Tyler Cameron and Hannah Brown get back together?
In February 2020, Brown reached out to Cameron after his mom, Andrea, was hospitalized. She then flew to Florida to attend Andrea’s funeral later that month. Around the same time, Brown’s brother overdosed (he survived), and the exes bonded over their shared trauma.
Brown returned to Florida in mid-March 2020 and spent the beginning of the COVID-19 quarantine with Cameron and his friends. Fans began buzzing about a possible reconciliation between the two as they appeared in flirty TikTok videos together.
But Brown later revealed that “there was nothing romantic about that time,” noting that she and Cameron were both “hurting really bad” and often didn’t speak for “days” in the house. “We didn’t even kiss!” Brown clarified. “And it was really confusing because I told him I still had feelings for him, and he rejected me.”
When Brown left Florida a few weeks later, she didn’t speak to Cameron for several months. They reunited for lunch in September 2020 and then appeared in a video on Brown’s YouTube channel that October, where they clarified that their relationship was nothing more than a “friendship” during the quarantine.
Where do Tyler Cameron and Hannah Brown stand now?
After filming the 2020 YouTube video, Brown eventually realized that it was too hard for her to be just friends with Cameron, and she told him so.
“‘It just hurts me too much,’ I said,” she wrote in her 2021 book. “‘I just need some space. Maybe down the line we can try it again.’ That happened about six months before I sat down to write this page in my book — and I haven’t heard from him since. His last poetic words to me were, ‘Well… if you rock with me, you rock with me. If you don’t, you don’t.’ I wish I was making that up.”
The two eventually got past the awkwardness and are on friendly terms today. She interviewed him on her podcast in 2023, then appeared on an episode of his renovation show Going Home With Tyler Cameron in 2024.
“It was super cool that she would say yes to that because we don’t really get to see each other [and] hang out that much,” he told ET at the time. “We’ve got different lives now, but she came on and she absolutely ripped it. She did a great job.” Cameron also told Swooon, “I think we’re there to support each other, and we keep in touch. Maybe there’s more projects to do together like this. I think she’d be a great addition to the team.”
Brown is now married to husband Adam Woolard, while Cameron is in a relationship with Tate Madden.
