- They didn’t legally marry, though they had a legally ordained minister.
- Jim has opened up about whether or not he’ll officially marry Monika.
Monika Ronk and Jim Bentayou, aka players 173 and 152 in Beast Games Season 2, got viewers talking about their showmance from the get-go. Jim asked Monika to be his girlfriend in Episode 2, and they held a marriage ceremony about two weeks after meeting.
It didn’t make the show’s final cut, but Monika and Jim’s “wedding” is shown in an Episode 5 bonus scene. Their officiant, fellow player Jack McKenna, is a legally ordained minister, but Monika and Jim didn’t sign any paperwork. Since the reality couple revealed that they were still together after filming, Jim spoke out about the status of their marriage.
According to a March 3 article by The Tab, Jim was asked if he “plan[ned] to make this a legal marriage, rather than a common law marriage” during a Reddit Q&A. “It’s definitely in the plans and something that’s on both of our minds,” he responded.
Jim explained that he was waiting for the right time to make his union with Monika official. “I want that proposal to be perfect ya know,” he added. “We have been living together for a while now so we’re getting there for sure.”
Shortly after filming wrapped in summer 2025, Monika moved to Florida to be with Jim. They made a joint YouTube account in February 2026, giving viewers a glimpse into their life together. Their first video documented their first Valentine’s Day, and Jim said he had dozens of date ideas for Monika, which they’ll continue to post online.
Monika has been sharing her love for Jim on Instagram, too. Though neither player walked away with the top prize, she wrote in a February 27 post, “Officially the end of the road. I may not have come home with the win, but $510,000 and Jim isn’t too bad either 🤘🏽”
