Blanco is a professional surfer. She was born in Puerto Rico and spent time there, in Hawaii, and in California growing up. The athlete began competing in professional surfing at just 13 years old.
Like her husband, Blanco has some reality television experience. She was on The Challenge: Champs vs. Pros in 2017, then won The Ultimate Surfer on ABC in 2021, which earned her a spot competing on the World Surf League championship tour.
Blanco is a vegan and is a vegan activist. She grew up vegetarian, but adopted a vegan lifestyle in 2016. “When I was 15, I watched the documentary GlassWalls and read The China Study, and then it became quite clear to me why I wanted to be a vegetarian and why I wanted to adopt a vegan lifestyle,” Blanco told Men’s Journal. “After doing my research, I chose to go vegan and have been dedicated to a vegan diet for four years now.”
Per her Instagram bio, Blanco is also a dedicated yogi and artist (she enjoys painting).
How did Brody Jenner and Tia Blanco meet?
The pair met in Hawaii in 2022. “The first date we had, we met on a beautiful island,” Blanco told E! “We went straight to this amazing waterfall and we’re both such earth people, so it was just the most beautiful setting. Then we went surfing and to a nice dinner. I don’t really know what else a girl could ask for.”
After keeping their relationship “pretty private at the beginning,” they went Instagram official in May 2022. However, they celebrated their six-month anniversary in October of that year, which means they started dating in April.
“We’re both just so in love and it just happened naturally to share the fun things that we do and this exciting time in our life together,” Blanco explained.
Jenner proposed at Blanco’s baby shower in June 2023, one month before their first child was born. They got married on July 12, 2025.
