‘Summer House’: What Happened Between Jesse Solomon & Lexi Wood?
Falling in love on reality television doesn’t always work out … just ask Lexi Wood and Jesse Solomon. The two met while filming Season 9 of Summer House in 2024, and Jesse was instantly smitten.
Lexi was the new girl that summer, and from the moment she caught Jesse’s eye on arrival day, he began to pursue her. Not long after they first met, Jesse was professing his love for Lexi (albeit while he was sleeping), and they defined the relationship as exclusive just weeks later.
But things crashed and burned by the end of summer. Lexi, who previously dated Brooklyn Beckham and Presley Gerber, ended things with Jesse by the final weekend of filming. Scroll down for a refresh on what happened.
What happened between Lexi Wood and Jesse Solomon?
The cracks in Lexi and Jesse’s relationship began to form during a weekend when she was away from the Hamptons spending time with family. While the pair’s costar Imrul Hassan was having a threesome with two women he brought home from the bar, Jesse entered the room and spent more than half an hour inside.
His castmates wanted answers about what happened behind closed doors, and Jesse insisted he only got his toe sucked by one of the women and was not otherwise physically intimate with anyone. Imrul backed up Jesse’s story. Jesse didn’t tell Lexi about the incident and she had to find out from her castmates, which planted the first seed of distrust.
While she gave Jesse another chance, his behavior as the summer went on continued to confuse her. It certainly didn’t help that Jesse invited Ciara Miller to the US Open instead of Lexi. While Lexi admitted his flirty relationship with Ciara was a sore spot for her, she was livid when Jesse told their castmates that she was ending things with him because of his friendship with their costar.
“He tells half-truths to all of you guys, and then you guys all believe it as bible,” Lexi insisted. She also accused her ex of “lying by omission” and being “sneaky” with his storytelling. Lexi said Jesse “suffocated” and love-bombed her when they were together, but acted single when they weren’t.
The breaking point, though, was when Lexi invited Jesse out to meet her friends and he said he couldn’t make it because he had a manicure appointment … at 9 p.m. “I immediately got, like, a gut punch where I’m like, ‘He’s lying again,'” she admitted. Point blank, Lexi ended things because she couldn’t trust Jesse.
“I’m looking for a relationship that’s deep,” she told him. “And I feel connected to them, and I feel like we unfortunately haven’t been able to break that, even though I try so hard to kind of get deep with you and feel like you’re my person. And I always give you the benefit of the doubt, and I’m always trying to figure out how I can make whatever you say make sense in my head. And I feel like you aren’t ready for the relationship I’m looking for.”
Why did Lexi Wood leave Summer House?
In June 2025, Lexi announced that she was going to be one and done on Summer House and confirmed she was not returning for Season 10. She announced her exit via her Instagram Story and hinted that the issues with Jesse were part of the reason she decided to leave the show.
“Well… that wasn’t the summer I signed up for but it definitely taught me a lot. I stood up for women and for what’s right, even when it wasn’t easy and I’d do that again in a heartbeat,” Lexi wrote. “I’m leaving Summer House with no regrets (well…maybe one). I’m proud of the way I handled myself. Proud of what I walked away from, and even prouder of what I’m walking toward. Big things are coming!”
Where do Lexi Wood and Jesse Solomon stand now?
Lexi and Jesse no longer have a relationship or friendship. While the season was airing, Lexi did multiple interviews where she made it clear that she no longer respected Jesse, accusing him of being “manipulative” and more.
“I feel misunderstood a bit because the girl I dated was going on all these podcasts and accusing me of this terrible stuff that I did off-camera,” Jesse told Elite Daily. “That’s hard to defend because there’s no evidence of it. I don’t like when people attack my character and call me a liar, because I’ve always tried to be a good person. My family, friends, and people around me know that I have good intentions. So, yeah, it just hurts.”
At the time of the May 2025 interview, Jesse also claimed he “tried to have conversations” with Lexi after the show ended, but said she “refused” to talk to him. “She’s like, ‘I’m not talking to you.’ OK, so you have to go talk to the media about it?” he added. “I really do want her to be happy, and I’ll be curious to see who she ends up with. But it’s hard not to say how I feel.”
Jesse is back on Summer House Season 10 and has continued to flirt with Ciara. Meanwhile, Lexi has been pursuing her modeling career since leaving the show.
