Four-time Survivor player Season 27 champ Tyson Apostol is back on reality television for Season 3 of House of Villains. He’s certainly no stranger to competition shows, having also competed on The Challenge: USA in 2022.

During his winning season of Survivor, which aired in 2013, Apostol got to (briefly) play the game with then-girlfriend Rachel Foulger. For the Blood vs. Water theme, they were placed on separate tribes, and Foulger was ousted early in an attempt to try and weaken Apostol’s game (well, that didn’t work).

Apostol and Foulger ended up tying the knot, but it took publicly getting over a major relationship hurdle to get there. Scroll down for more on that and to find out whether the two are still together today.

Are Tyson Apostol and Rachel Foulger still together?

Yes, Apostol and Foulger are still together. While they don’t post too much about their relationship on social media (personal posts are mostly dedicated to their children), they did share their family Christmas card during the 2025 holiday season.

“Merry Christmas everyone! We feel so grateful to have you as our friends and family and wish you a happy New Year 🎊,” they captioned a joint post.

How did Tyson Apostol and Rachel Foulger meet?

Apostol and Foulger met through mutual friends in 2008, she told Deseret News. At the time, Tyson hadn’t even left to film his first season of Survivor yet. Four months later, he departed for Survivor: Tocantins. By the time Foulger joined Apostol on Blood vs. Water in 2013, they had been together for five years.

In 2015, the couple appeared on Season 2 of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, which was filmed the previous year. They came to the show to deal with Apostol’s commitment issues, as Foulger was ready to take the next step in their relationship. Apostol proposed during the finale, which aired in March 2015. Afterwards, the pair revealed that they had already tied the knot that February.

Apostol returned for Season 40 of Survivor, which filmed in 2019 and aired in 2020. Foulger briefly appeared on the show during the loved ones visit.

How many kids does Tyson Apostol have?

Apostol and Foulger share two daughters. Their first daughter, Bergen, was born in June 2015, just four months after their wedding. Her little sister, Marlowe, joined in July 2018.

After winning Season 27 of Survivor, Apostol used his $1 million prize to become a stay-at-home dad.

“Being a dad has changed me,” he admitted. “My kids are my priority rather than just myself. I don’t work out as much as…not even as much as I’d like to. I like to stay home with my kids. I skip out on a lot of stuff like that because I want to be with my kids, not because I have to be with my kids. I’m probably more patient. You have to be patient with kids, they’re just kids.”
