Reba McEntire turned 71 on March 28, and she celebrated in style with fiancé Rex Linn. The couple went to Las Vegas, and McEntire was treated to an epic weekend by her future husband.
In an Instagram post documenting the weekend, McEntire revealed the fun activities that Linn planned and showed off their lavish accommodations. The duo was joined by friends Leslie and Nic for the weekend getaway.
“I have to put my 71st birthday as the best birthday of my entire life. Leslie, Nic, Rex, and I had a blast celebrating in Las Vegas,” McEntire captioned her Instagram post.
She reflected on attending Cirque de Soleil, which she said “did not disappoint,” adding, “I’ve seen it so many times. It is the best!!!” There was also a visit to The Sphere to see The Wizard of Oz, which McEntire called “out of this world” and said there is “absolutely nothing like it!”

The group returned to The Sphere to see The Eagles play, which McEntire said was the “highlight” of her trip. “Best show ever!!!!!!” she wrote. Included in her Instagram dump was a photo with Vince Gill and Joe Walsh, and she added in the caption, “So much fun getting to visit with the great @donhenley, @joewalshofficial, Timothy Schmit, and @vincegillofficial. It was definitely a night I will never forget!”
After praising the Wynn hotel for their hospitality, McEntire concluded, “@rexlinn13 knocked it out out of the ballpark this year and is already planning next year’s birthday:))))🎂.”
McEntire and Linn met on the set of The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw in 1991, but didn’t start dating until they reconnected in 2020 when she guest-starred on his show Young Sheldon. They got engaged on Christmas Eve 2024, although they kept tight-lipped about the relationship update until the Emmy Awards in September 2025. Their wedding date is not known.
